WBA In Action Tonight – Di Matteo Fears Newcastle Breakaway

West Brom are in action tonight at Hawthorns and on papare have a fairly easy game against relegation strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.

Roberto Di Matteo – fears that Newcastle may pull away

Sheffield Wednesday are in 3rd bottom place on 37 points, but are coming off a great home win against Leicester City 2-0 last Saturday, so their confidence should be high.

But it also seems like WBA Manager Roberto Di Matteo is fearful that Newcastle will pull away before the end of the month, as he talked about tonight’s game:

“I have been saying for a while now that it is probably going to go down to the last few games,”

“But I think this month will probably be decisive in terms of Newcastle pulling away or not.” “If you look at their squad they have a gear more than anyone else.”

“Swansea are still hanging in there and Leicester and Cardiff aren’t far off. It’s difficult to say because there are still a lot of points to be played for and this crazy league teaches us that crazy things happen.”

It’s something Newcastle manager Chris Hughton would not ever mention, about possibly pulling away, but the Newcastle side is in dominant form currently, and while it lasts the best thing we can do is to pick up as many wins as we can.

Certainly with players coming back from injury, such as Joey Barton and Wayne Routledge, Chris will be spoiled for choice, and may well change the side around a little to keep the players fresh.

Only 12 games to go, and we should be trying to win every single one of them, no matter where the other teams are.

The lads have to concentrate only on what’s in front of  them – and next up is a tough one at Middlebrough on Saturday, and the goal will be to win that one, and make it 5 wins on the trot since we lost badly at Derby County.

Howay The Lads!!

Comments always welcome.

Hopefully Enrique and Routledge will be fit:

    ——————Harper——————-
    Simpson–Collo–Williamson–Enrique
    –Routledge-Guthrie-Nolan-Jonas–
    ——–Carroll–Lovenkrands——-

However, if they are not fit:

    ——————Harper——————-
    Simpson–Collo–Williamson–Kadar
    –Pancake-Guthrie-Nolan-Jonas–
    ——–Carroll–Lovenkrands——-
