Games Will Now Come Thick And Fast For Newcastle

Newcastle are on a more than decent run right now, having took maximum points from their last four league games.

Chris Hughton – games will now come thick and fast

There are now just 7 weeks left of the season before we play our final game at QPR on Sunday, May 2nd,  so that’s 12 games we have to play in just 7 weeks, so the game will indeed start coming thick and fast.

With four wins on the trot Chris seems satisfied where things are right now:

“We are in very good shape at the moment, both in terms of our position in the table and current form,”

“Momentum is very important and we’ve seen that earlier in the season with the seven straight wins we enjoyed.”

“We’re approaching a run of games now where they’re going to start coming thick and fast and to have a head of steam going into them will be very important.”

“We’ve got four wins and a draw now on the back of the game at Derby and I have to say the response once again has been terrific.”

“We’ve been consistent this season and that is why we’re top, another run of consistent results over these next seven weeks should see us achieve our objective of promotion.”

“It’s one game at a time, though, and Middlesbrough on Saturday is our next challenge.” “It won’t be easy, no game is, but they’ve won their last three at home and will be buoyed by that.”

“But we’re back to winning ways on the road as well, after the Watford win, and it promises to be a good game.”

This time of the season is very important, and it will be equally important for Newcastle to try to extend their winning streak as long as possible.

Our longest winning streak this season is 7 games, and it would be great if the team can top that, with their current run of  wins.

But as usual it’s one game at a time and we’ll have to try to get all 3 points at the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon – that’s the next step.

Comments welcome.

You’re right Ed, this is when the pressure starts to pile on.

The press of course are doing their best to rrock the boat over reports of ‘forced’ pay cuts and I wonder Chris Hughton can help the players deal with that. The ideal would be that he encourabges them to play their hearts out and carry on looking forward to the next game.

However, as everyone’s saying, complacency is the real danger and it’s important that the players keep their feet firmly on he ground.

Please, no warnings please lads, that’s when the wheel’s likley to come off.

@ Alan: It’s not bad. There’s a little something funky going on with the top right corner, and the Blue on Gray is not a great color scheme. But, looks to be an up and comer. Good luck with it.
