Joey Barton Set To Play For Reserves Tomorrow Night

Joey Barton had a 45 minute run-out last Monday night in a closed door game against Hibernian.

Joey Barton – run-out for Reserves Tuesday night

And it looks like he will make his return for the Reserves tomorrow night at Hartlepool United.

The midfielder has been included in the Reserve team squad for tomorrow night’s game and it is expected Joey will play at least another 45 minutes.

Barton is recovering from his third serious foot injury since he arrived at Newcastle and last played for the first team last September 19th, at St James’ Park, in the 3-1 win over Plymouth Argyle.

It will be interesting to see how Joey looks tomorrow night, because we know the Liverpudlian is very keen to return to the first team fold – as soon as possible.

I’ve been hoping Wigan go down so we can go in for Rodallega, looks like a great talent to me.

Wouldn’t go for Wheater though, no point in pushing a good centre half to RB for the sake of bringing in one not as good as him. Get Beye back in, season long loan even.

    Beye – Taylor/Williamson – Colo – Enrique

As good a back four as the bottom 10 prem teams.
