Good news tonight as Fabricio Coloccini is fit and takes his place alongside Fitz Hall at the center of the Newcastle defense against Scunthorpe United.
It looks like the star Argentine has recovered fully from the dead leg he suffered in the 2-2 draw on Saturday, and that’s just excellent news.
Both Wayne Routledge and Jose Enrique also return to the starting line-up, having been rested on the bench at the Riverside Stadium.
Routledge starts on the right wing and of course Jose Enrique will start at left-back and team up once again with Argentine left-winger Jonas Gutierrez.
The team is the one we chose this morning, assuming Coloccini was fit, and it almost picks itself.
However, a little disappointment for 20 year-old Tamas Kadar, who drops down to the bench, after another solid display on Saturday.
Tamas is joined there by Tim Krul, Ryan Taylor, Leon Best, Fabrice Pancrate, Nicky Butt and 18 year-old Nile Ranger – a strong bench.
This is a very attacking starting eleven, and you have to think manager Chris Hughton is looking for a big win tonight – we’ll know soon enough.
Howay The Lads!!
