Coloccini, Enrique and Routledge All Start

Good news tonight as Fabricio Coloccini is fit and takes his place alongside Fitz Hall at the center of the Newcastle defense against Scunthorpe United.

It looks like the star Argentine has recovered fully from the dead leg he suffered in the 2-2 draw on Saturday, and that’s just excellent news.

Both Wayne Routledge and Jose Enrique also return to the starting line-up, having been rested on the bench at the Riverside Stadium.

Routledge starts on the right wing and of course Jose Enrique will start at left-back and team up once again with Argentine left-winger Jonas Gutierrez.

The team is the one we chose this morning, assuming Coloccini was fit, and it almost picks itself.

However, a little disappointment for 20 year-old Tamas Kadar, who drops down to the bench, after another solid display on Saturday.

Tamas is joined there by  Tim Krul, Ryan Taylor, Leon Best, Fabrice Pancrate, Nicky Butt and 18 year-old Nile Ranger – a strong bench.

This is a very attacking starting eleven, and you have to think manager Chris Hughton is looking for a big win tonight – we’ll know soon enough.

Howay The Lads!!

Very strong team, good to have wingers and Guthrie in his prefered position. Hope Colo’s alright and doesn’t get a more serious injury.

Revenge time for the last game we played against them……..

Re: Zidane. The story goes on to say:

“Why would we want Zinedine Zidane when we have Tim Sherwood?” Silkman recalls as the English outfit’s response.

I think someone has mistaken us for Blackburn. I dont know how such shoddy reporting gets published, even on tosh like goal.com

Concerned about the injuries to Simpson and Collocini last weekend, but generally CH has only brought back players when injury free and not when needed!

Strong side tonight; so going for 3-0 by 60~70 mins then bringing on the likes of Kadar, Ranger and Best to play out remainder of the game! Final score 4-0 to Newcastle……

So should be 3 points and a few more goals for the boys tonight…..

I’m just worried that Butt might come on before we have a comfortable lead. I’m guessing Scunthorpe is going to have a lot of confidence coming into this because of the last time we played them. If we’re still at evens after 70 minutes and Butt comes on I fear the worst…. no one else on the bench that can play in the center though…

Toon to win 2-1. Lovenkrands and Carroll to score. I think Scunny is bring all they got to this game to try and go for the double. I wouldn’t underestimate this lot, lads. They’ve tasted blood and they want more.

Still, I think the Toon will nick this one.

Almost our best formation possible, with the exception of Steve Taylor. Really pleased to see Routledge back and looking forward to see (or hear) us attacking with to quailty wingers.

Hope we can get a clean sheet tonight and as long as we win I am not worried about the score.
