Kevin Nolan has talked today about whether Newcastle United will be good enough to stay in the Premiership next season.
Chris Hughton – are Newcastle good enough for the PL?
Chris talked today and he thinks they may be able to do quite well next season, which would be just great:
“I am sure the supporters are already wondering whether we are good enough to stay in the Premier League and that will be our ultimate aim.”
“Who knows, we might be able to do better than that, but staying up is all that matters. The core values which have served us so well this season will stand us in good stead, that’s for sure. What I have been part of this season has been fantastic.”
“I was part of something special at Bolton when we got the club into Europe and the dressing room was great, but this club is three, four or five times bigger than Bolton.”
“What this club can achieve is phenomenal, but we have to do it slowly. There cannot be any quick fixes.” “People have got used to that here, but things have changed. We are not going to be a soap opera anymore.”
“We are a family and we are together, we are all together. If we keep that, nobody is going to fancy coming here next season.”
“When you have 50,000 screaming fans making it horrible for the opposition, it is fantastic to play for this football club.”
Those are great words form Newcastle and certainly the team spirit at Newcastle seems to be so very high, and we’ll have to ensure no player is brought in next season to disrupt that spirit.
But that’s the type of characteristic Newcastle fans love to see – the lads putting in a good shift every single game, which they’ve done this season is such great style.
Next up is Blackpool this afternoon, and we have to hope the lads can get their 27th win of the season.
Howay The Lads!!
