Enrique Recovered For Tomorrow’s Game – But Kadar Out

Jose Enrique’s hamstring has been playing up a bit since he returned to the Newcastle side, about 6 weeks ago.

Jose Enrique – you would think he had just scored!

In his comeback game on 6th March, he lasted only 33 minutes during the 6-1 demolition of Barnsley, before being replaced by Tamas Kadar, and Jose has been rested for a game or two since then, as manager Chris Hughton has tried to bring the player back slowly.

And Jose missed the game on Saturday, but this time it was because of a bug,  and even his replacement Tamas Kadar had to leave the game in the first half against Blackpool,  with what looked like a hamstring problem, and Ryan Taylor came in.

But it looks like Jose may have recovered for tomorrow night, maybe, as he returns to training today, and we’ll see what his reaction is.

Chris Hughton talked today to the Newcastle official web-site with a health update on both Jose and Tamas:

“Jose missed the game with a bug but will return to training today,” “We’re hopeful he’ll be fine but we’ll see how he is today.”

“Tamas, however, won’t be available and he is a slight hamstring problem.”

It’s a pity Tamas picked up his hamstring problem on Saturday, because he’s been wanting to get more playing time lately.

If Jose can slot back in tomorrow night, that would be just fine.

Great news about Jose. After Gutierrez played so well on Saturday, teams will be petrified and he’s always better with Jose playing behind him!

Ed, obviously you’d have a far more extensive knowledge of Newcastle than me (being only 21 and all), can you, or any other fans, think of another LB, RW combination that has gelled as well as these two? Not just 2 great players, but 2 great players who have a perfect understanding, and whose style is complimented so well by the other?

Good to hear Jose is back and the injury might not be a bad thing for Kadar. He knows he was getting a chance which is a big deal and hell got more minutes if he can come back before the end of the season.

nightfa11 a lot! And he wouldn’t come to us! And we wouldn’t be able afford his wages! And he doesn’t fit into our new buying ethos!

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but were we not heavily linked with him a couple of years ago? Seem to remember reading it on here?

to be honest i didn think kadar was up to much on sat, his comments aboutleaving during the week seemed to e reflected through his performance, he was caught flat footed and looked lik he had no desire to press forward when passing to jonas, no heart . . . no desire.we need better cover for the lb position, i know people will say hes not a lb but if hes not able to cope with it at such a young age then hes prob not worth it, should have put ryan t out right and danny simpson at left full, would have given us better bite from the geckgo

BT7MAG – yeah that’s why i asked:) as i recall they were selling him last year for 8 mil.. very cheap for a player of his calibre..& he’s 27. there’s gotta be some class MC we could get, who’d really improve our squad.

we should try to get players in from clubs like valencia etc. who are big in financial debt. they will NEED to sell. valencia have a debt of 600 mio..so..lets bid for mata 😀 vilarreal are also broke – cazorla? 😀 yeah i know..probably unrealistic, but hey..those players will need be sold..probably for way less that they’re worth.

henoshaw kadar was not talking about leaving us,just going out on loan to gain some experience, and i don’t think there’s anything wrong in that,as it will only do him and the club some good.As for Jose was no to impressed with what we paid for him when he first came to us,but now hes looking a real steal, think the boy could be just as good as Ashley Cole in the future, but without the baggage Cole brings with him.

nightfa11: Mata, Cazorla, no chance. They maybe sell them for cheap price( but still would be around 10m ), but they would prefer bigger clubs, with a chance for EL or CL.

henoshaw: U wont get better then that. U wanna build a new team every year? Plus José being the no1 at LB, who would sit down on the bench asgood as him? Even Kadar want to play, because he needs more experience. He sit on the bench for 2 years now, only playing when most of defenders were injured. He made good and decent work as a CB and as LB too – abviously should learn more, but hes still young, can develop, but not from the bench. If NUFC buy a defender, they should loan him.
