Tamas Kadar is waiting for the results of a hamstring diagnosis, and he’s hopeful he can play again before the end of the season.
Tamas Kadar – hopes to play again this season
Kadar was making his 9th start for Newcastle and his 15th appearance and had just set up Jonas Gutierrez for Newcastle’s first goal at St. James’ Park on Saturday against Blackpool.
But it seems that’s when the Hungarian’s hamstring went, and he was soon replaced by Ryan Taylor.
Kadar told Pepsifoci, which is a Hungarian football web-site (of course – what else?):
“Maybe my injury is not so serious, but the doctors still can’t give the final diagnosis,”
“I was happy to be chosen in the starting line-up and the game started perfectly for me as I made an assist.”
“I passed to Gutierrez and he scored a goal, but this was the moment when I injured my left hamstring. I hope it’s not torn, but only strained.”
“I’m very hopeful because I want to play more games this season. So far, I just have to wait for the doctors to say how much I’m allowed to train.”
We hope Tamas can play again this season, but in any case we look to this lad pushing for a first team place next season.
And if this lad’s as good as we think he is, he’ll be playing regular first team football by this time next year in the Premiership.
