Some good news on the injury front from Newcastle manager Chris Hughton today.
Fabricio Colocccini – could be fit for Plymouth game
It seems that not only could Coloccini be fit for Monday night’s game at Plymouth, but that Tamas Kadar’s hamstring strain seems to have cleared up, and quicker than expected.
Hughton said today:
“We’re still assessing Coloccini.” “We haven’t ruled him out, but he’s a doubt.”“Fitz Hall’s back fit, and we’re expecting Tamas Kadar to be fit as well.”
If Tamas Kadar is fit and Coloccini isn’t, then we would expect Tamas Kadar to be drafted into the starting line-up for the Argentine, rather than Fitz Hall.
That’s unless Chris Hughton, for some reason, wants to give the QPR player another start on Tyneside.
But it’s good news that our two injured center-backs Coloccini and Kadar are now on the verge of being fully fit again.
