Newcastle’s New Home And Away Puma Strips

It seems like Puma were supposed to announce the new strips today, but were delayed by the no flying incurred by the Iceland volcano – but we have access to the new strips – we think. 😀

However, we have no official confirmation they are the new strips – since many different ones are making the rounds today on the internet – so at the moment take this with a pinch of salt – but they look good.

Here’s Newcastle’s new home strip for next season from Puma:

And here is the new away strip for next season from Puma:

As we said we cannot be 100% sure (not even 50% sure) these are the official new Puma strips, so its not official until the club unveils them, but we think it’s of interest nevertheless.

The home strip has more black in than last season’s strip – but not as much as the previous one which had lots of black in it.

We like the green and yellow strip – a nice change – ans it will be good to see what the shorts and socks look like too.

Let us know what you think of the new strips – if indeed these are the new strips – and when the official strips are announced we’ll have them too – hey they may even be the same ones!

Comments very welcome.

They look like fakes, no red dot on the northern rock.

Cool strips, especially like the one green arm and one yellow arm on the away strip. Wonder if Puma will go for the naming rights of St. James’ too.

doubt these are them but if they were, i’d be happy. could be a lot worse, especially the away kit…seeing as this year’s away kit grew on me, I’d welcome the yellow/green mix. too bad they most likely are fake though. i saw another prototype of the away kit in an ugly bluish purple that was just atrocious…guaruntee folks would take this one over the shit i saw yesterday. sry no link

I like them, even if they turn out not to be the real deal. The away kit is much better than the awful banana splits away kit from the current season.

    Up the Toon!

I’d buy either of those kits more than happily – there’s something different about them, they’re a bit different from the usual run-of-the-mill!

These sporting companies should get these fantasy creators to design the real ones, they come up with some cracking ideas.

The curving swooshes look horrible. I despise asymmetrical flourishes on football shirts. I’ll take the Sheffield Wednesday shirts in black and white, thank you very much.

I despise asymmetrical flourishes on football shirts – what the frak…. so you’d rather be boring & follow the rest of the sheep is that it!!

I think they should come up with some new innotive design,m I think the ‘asymmetrical flourish’ on the home kit sets it apart from others, so why not be different, we’re a new team in a new league, so why not a new design!!

These were “announced” when Puma got the NUFC deal. They’re fantasy kits.

    http://www.footballshirtculture.com/fantasy-kit-design/fantasy-kit-design/newcastle-2011-puma-6267.html

NUFC.com snubbed the designs months back.

“what the frak…. so you’d rather be boring & follow the rest of the sheep is that it!!”

You call it boring. I call it tradition. I’d rather see plain old black and white stripes than have some “forward-looking” company like Puma come in and try to design some neo-modern street wear for our players. That kind of thinking gave Bolton their diabolical creations. No thanks!

My favourite uni ever? Button-up band collars and Newcastle Brown Ale on the front. Sorry if you think that’s “boring”. It was the first NUFC jersey I ever owned, and I think it’s a classic.
