We’d like to see Steven Taylor start the game at QPR on Sunday afternoon.
Steven Taylor – could start at QPR Sunday
Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has said there is a decent chance that Steven Taylor will in fact participate on Sunday afternoon in London.
Chris said today:
“Steven Taylor’s available, but he’s been out for a long time.”
“It’s my decision whether he’ll be included or not, but there’s every chance he’ll travel.”
“He was in the squad last Saturday, and at this moment he’s fine.”
The lads will travel down to London tomorrow, and it seems that Tamas Kadar may be a doubt for that game, after he picked up a knock in the Newcastle Reserve’s 2-0 win against Rotherham United on Tuesday night.
And Fitz Hall still has a hamstring injury, and will not participate against his parent club on Sunday.
“We have got a couple of doubts. Fitz Hall’s out, as is Nile Ranger.”
“Tamas Kadar had a knock in the reserves game, and he’s probably the one we’re waiting on.”
And of course Chris must get the lads all ready for the last game of this great season, and hopefully have them put in a very good performance, and get us all 3 points to take us to 102 total points for the season.
“What we’ve got to do is get ourselves up again.” “There are still targets to go for. We want to finish on a high, that goes without saying.”
“We know the emotions of the past two weeks, particularly on Saturday, but it’s back to business again.”
“We have a group of supporters going to watch the game, and of course it’s a game we want to get something from.”
“Anything other than a defeat will get us 100 points, which would be a nice way to end the season.”
That’s one thing Chris seems to be so good at – is getting the lads ready for every single game, and he also does his homework on the opposition too.
It’s certainly going to be very interesting to see how we fare next year, when we’re back with the big boys.
But first things first – and we need need all 3 points on Sunday.
