Mike Williamson has so far been a great signing for Newcastle United.
Handsome Mike Williamson – with kids
Reflecting on his 5 months at the Newcastle club, Williamson told the Evening Chronicle today:
“To say it’s been a dream move is an understatement – it’s been incredible.”
“Coming from the position I was in, and finishing the season like I have, has been amazing. I’m taking it all in still.”“It’s all about taking it in your stride.”
“To play in the Premier League, for me, is the ultimate, especially for such a magnificent club as this. It’ll be such an honor.”
“Things happen for certain reasons, and it was disappointing at the time, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything now.”
And Mike is also looking for all 3 points early tomorrow afternoon at Loftus Road, as Newcastle finish what has been a magnificent season, by taking on QPR in their final game ever in the Championship (we hope):
“There’ll be quite a few travelling supporters going down, and we want to put a show on for them, and finish the season in style.”
“We’ve achieved everything we’ve wanted to achieve this season, so it would be nice to top that 100-point mark and enjoy our holidays.”
“The boys are sensible.”
“We want to celebrate, as these times don’t come around too often, but we’re all professional, so I’m sure whatever team’s out there will be doing their best to get three points.”
“It’s just more icing on the cake, so to speak.” “I think what the lads have achieved this season has been incredible, and we just want to finish the last game on a high.”
Mike has been a great buy for Newcastle and he’s also a good looking lad.
I have that on good authority, because when I showed him with his two kids to my wife last week, and said what a great player he was, she said he was also a good looking boy.
So there you have it.
As I said – I knew he was a good looking player when we signed him. 😀
