Fraser Forster Just Misses Out On Norwich Player Of the Season

Newcastle’s 22 year-old Hexham-born goalkeeper, Fraser Forster just missed out on the Norwich City Player of the Season award, coming in second.

Fraser Forster – just misses out after great season

The award went to captain and leading goalscorer Grant Holt.

The 30-goal striker was presented with the Barry Butler Memorial Trophy before the Carlisle United game on the pitch at Carrow Road.

Second place went to Newcastle’s on-loan goalkeeper Forster, and in third place was the 2006 winner of the trophy, defender Gary Doherty.

However, Fraser was voted the player of the season by the Norwich City players.

Forster has kept an amazing 18 clean sheets for City this season, and certainly it seems the Norwich City fans would love for Fraser to return next season on loan, and we think that may be a possibility.

Fraser played 38 games in League One for Norwich, and one game in the FA Cup.

    Great stuff, well done Frazer.

It seems we have two different but very capable young keepers fighting it out for the No.2 spot at the minute…Krul pulls off the stunners but for me, sometimes flaps at the more simple stuff…Forster, from what I’ve seen makes everything look simple and is very composed.

I’d happily have either as No.2 but want to keep both at the club in the long term.

I’d like to keep him at the club next season and let Krul go out on loan to get match practice.
