Newcastle Favorites To Sign Top Italian Youngster

Surpisingly there was lots of news yesterday about the Newcastle club and one of the things we missed was the news that Newcastle are after 18 year-old Torino young gun Raffaelle Maiorano.

Chris Hughton – after top 18 year-old Italian

It seems like with all good players Newcastle will face competition for the Torino youth academy forward, and he has already been linked with West Ham United, West Brom and Cardiff City.

Italian clubs Juventus, Roma and Siena are also interested in the 18-year-old, but his agent has said that he prefers a move to the Barclay’s English Premier League.

And, according to reports Newcastle are said to be in the lead for the signature of the youngster, according to Turin daily Tuttosport.

Maiorano’s agent Massimo Vrenna, said yesterday:

“Raffaelle is a huge talent, and ready for a big step in his career. We will try everything to bring him to England, where plenty of clubs have already demonstrated their desire to sign him.”

“Maiorano is a diamond waiting for a big leap. We will try to take him to England, where many clubs have already shown they want him to play in the Premier League.”

It’s important that Newcastle win the race to sign some of these top youngsters, as they continue to gain credibility for the Newcastle Youth Academy, which seems to be churning out top young players these days.

As usual with these younger players, it’s hard to find out much information about them, other than he’s an 18 year-old forward.

We all are speculating and drawing upon our own wish list of players and im 100 percent sure that we are not ending upon with these players as players in mind of Chris will be different from ours as it was the case on January. So dont believe the press. Happily Newcastle changed a lott, we are not going to get any information about players we are going to sign untill it happens:))

To be honest I am fairly happy with the fact that NUFC is not too forthcoming with info on who they are after as it avoids the price inflation bidding war situation and reduces the competition from other clubs for the said players. 😉
