Middlesbrough May Be Now Interested In Boyd

There was a popular report over the weekend that seemed to be a couple of weeks old.

Kris Boyd – are Middlesbrough interested?

It involved Rangers 26 year-old striker Kris Boyd, and it would appear that the only really interested clubs in the free agent are located in Turkey, but Kris would prefer to play in England.

The reports suggest that Boyd has had big-money offers from both Kayserispor and Trabzonspor clubs, who both play in the Turkish Süper Lig.

There are suggestions that Middlesbrough and Newcastle United are battling it out for the striker, but from what Magpies’ manager  Chris Hughton has already said, and more than once, Newcastle are not interested in this player.

It could be that Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan wants to sign the player for the Riverside club, but we wonder if Kris wants to play in England’s second tier?

We would expect Kris to settle on some club by the end of the month,  but it’s an odds-on certainty that club will not be Newcastle United.

With no or little money to spend then why not give this goalscoring free agent a chance?? It would suck big time if he signs for another premierleagueclub and scores loads for them!
