No Bids For Any Newcastle Players So Far This Summer

With Newcastle now having some very good young players – like Andy Carroll and Steven Taylor as just two examples – it will not be surprising if Newcastle will get some bids for their players this summer.

Andy Carroll – no bids for talented Newcastle striker

But the Newcastle manager Chris Hughton  is not interested in losing any of his remaining players at the club, and he has said today he is not received one bid for nay of his players.

Chris told the Evening Chronicle today:

“I can categorically say that we have not had one bid or any interest in any of our first team players and we wouldn’t welcome any either,”

“There have been no offers for either Steven or Andy. They are important players for us.”

“The interest that we’ve had in our players has been about the younger lads, possibly taking them on loan, and that is something that we have to decide on later in the summer.”

Chris was at the Benton training grounds today and was working on finalizing Newcastle’s pre-season program.

Newcastle did confirm today a game that we reported on two days ago, that they will travel to Spain on August 3rd for a friendlyame with La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna,  for the Teresa Herrera Trophy.

The only thing we need to hear is Steven Taylor saying he wants to stay with Newcastle

He obviously doesn’t though as he hasn’t even hinted at a stay.

I personally couldn’t care less if he stays or goes.

“I can categorically say that we have not had one bid or any interest in any of our first team players”

Is that not akin to saying that the first team is crap?
