Xisco Returns To Newcastle Club Next Week

Spanish U21 International Xisco is due to return next week to Newcastle, as of course he is still a Newcastle United player and will be reporting back for pre-season training.

Xisco – returns to Tyneside next week

We had reported a couple of days ago that Chris Hughton has to unload Xisco in the summer, and it may not be an easy task for the Newcastle manager, but the lad is just not worth the nearly £50K/week he is reported to be receiving at Newcastle.

Hughton talked about the 24 year-old today:

“He’s had a season in Spain and he’s back with us next week. We’ll see what sort of progress he’s made.”

We suppose it;s good that Chris can take a look at the player, while he arranges his exit from the Tyenside club, because who knows, maybe he’s improved with his time playing back in Spain.

We’d like nothing better if that was the case,  but it’s very unlikely.

We expect Chris’ best chance is to get the player out on another season-long loan deal, but he still has 3 years left on his contract and unloading him in the transfer market seems the best solution for the Newcastle club and for the player himself.

Comments welcome.

This lad arrived at NUFC whilst the club was in chaos almost. He gets an injury and has little time to settle and is burdened with a transfer value he never manages to justify. Then he is out on loan.
I think we should let CH assess the player and see what can be achieved. For all we know, under CH and with the present team spirit, we may have a potentially good forward for the club. I would rather give a registered NUFC player a fair chance than try and nurture a player from another club – especially the likes of Arsenal and man Utd. It has been wait and see all preseason so why not do the same for Xisco? If he really does turn out crap then we sell him in January.

Agreed Ericles, it’s a ‘no lose’ situation, so at least lets give him a pre-season.

He IS shite, both now and before. And his wages are just insane. Get him away.

The point is Newutd, if we don’t put him in the shop window, who will take him? We are going to take a hit regardless. Lets at least get some playing time out of him, and hope somebodys scout has a ‘senior moment’ and sees something special.

We seem to collect more shite than my best shoes. I mean, don’t mean to get them dirty, but somehow I do. My mother once said when I was a lad that I could walk though an operating theatre and still come out with clag on my feet.

So it is with the Toon, we buy ‘stars’ for millions only to find they are (in point of fact), shite. Owen, shite. Viana, shite. Tomasson, shite. Xisco, shite. etc. etc. WHY IS THIS?

Are they shite when they arrive (having fooled everyone for years), or do we have a knack for converting them into shite. Do we possess the rare gift of bringing the worst out in a player? Is it the the coaching system, or the fans, or the media, or the night life, or the cold winters? OR WHAT??

We now have Best, another about to make this this transition from proven goalscorer to being utter shite. Perhaps we quickly need to appoint an anti-shite committee to interview all those we have lost squillions of squids on over the years and ask them one question:

“Are you naturally shite, or did you have shiteyness thrust upon you while north of the Tyne?”

Then listen VERY carefully to the answers, no matter how shite those answers seem to be.

I agree with peterktoon.Lets give him a chance. What have we got to lose. We may unearth another Torres. Whats th bet we let him go and he becomes a superstar. Keep him get a good price on his head and sell him if he doesnt fit into CH’s plans. At least we get a bit of money to find a replacement.

Let’s make him feel welcome here. I hope he comes back here feeling optimistic and hopeful rather than being gloomy and disruptive.

I agree the lad cannot be worst than Shola who has taken many years to prove to all that he is not a premiership player, and in addition injury material at best.
Xisco played a season in La Liga and he should come back a better player, give the lad a chance and the first two months will show us if he wants to be a Newcstle player, then CH can decide what to do with him

Look i dont think anything of Xisco or Best so what i think is as Newcastles only propar left winger is jonas i think we should get a cover so my idea is , Offer 2 million plus best or xisco for peter whittingham of cardiff or even 1 million plus both of them. I think that would be a good bit of bargin buissnes !
    PLEASE COMMENT ON IDEA :~)

xisco should be given a chance its not his fault that what followed his signature was immediate downfall for the club.
and heres a statistic xisco has the same scoring record for the spanish under 21s as fernando torres. I agree with most of you stick him in for the pre season!

the ideas a good one on our terms. but i really doubt that cardiff can afford xisco’s wages. in terms of best well again i dont think cardiff will be keen on that deal.

We have a case study here in young Carol who had a disasterous loan spell and is now the darling of the blogs and hot favourite to replace Heskey as England no9! The players Beefy mentions were not sh-te when they came here, and most of them went on to succeed at their new clubs. The utterly negative no one is good enough self destruct gene so regularly on display on this site must play a big part. Give him a chance, and I mean for 6 months to settle in not his first touch of the ball, and if it doesn’t look like it will work out wish him luck at his next club.

We need to give the boy a chance as we stand to lose a lot of money on him if the reported transfer fee of £5+M and wages of £50K per week is true….
