Hughton – We are Not Interested In Fode Mansare

Chris Hughton has said today that Newcastle United are not interested in signing 28 year-old Guinea striker Fode Mansare, who plays at Toulouse.

Fode Mansare – Newcastle not interested

Chris talked today about the news linking Newcastle with Mansare, which originated in the French press last week:

“He is not one of the players we are after although I’ve seen we have been linked with him.”

“It’s not true, but it doesn’t concern me. There will always be speculation in football, it will be here next summer and in ten years time as well.”

Well that’s very true, and we would think Chris has been amused at some of the players the press has linked Newcastle with this summer.

But the fact we have no interest in the 28 year-old suggests that Newcastle are indeed after younger players who can improve when they are brought to Tyneside.

But the Newcastle club is still linked with a number of top young stars currently at the big six clubs, and any one of them from –  Kyle Naughton, Jack Wilshere, Heni Lansbury, Tom Cleverely, Danny Welbeck and Danny Rose – would be great loan signings for a season on Tyneside.

Comments welcome.

We are linked to plenty of young players these days, Hope that we can have a couple of experience players as well, especially one to replace Butt.

How come no hack took the opportunity to ask chris to clarify the position of Steven Taylor given the speculation surrounding the player in recent days?

Can’t keep doing the loan thing though.
We need to bring on OUR kids, not someone else’s.

Our kids are our future, other teams kids are their future and the only ones who will benefit is the players parent team.

Unless we have the oportunity to sign them at the end of the loan then I think we should think twice.

Gervinho from lille small fast pacey player with eye for a goal played for ivory coast in WC was electric.

Would be very expensive I’m afraid, John.,19528,11681_6250039,00.html

Miguel from Valencia allegedly in negotiations with Fulham. The sum is thought to be around 2 mill euros (1.66 mill pounds). What a catch! He would be a perfect right back for us. Too bad we are “covered” there now……

Actually, chaps, most of the players we can afford are rubbish. That is 100% the fault of the transfer window which forces clubs to buy in the last few hours like bidding on eBay thus inflating prices, and my shed already shows the lasting benefit of such rushed purchasing decisions…

PS: Anyone need a job lot of ‘Scare Cats’? Fix one on top of the garden fence, and scare the bejeezus out of the pigeons – except the pigeons just landed and shat on it…
