Dan Gosling Makes Decision – It’s Newcastle Or Bolton

There are differing reports being circulated tonight about which club Dan Gosling will announce on Monday that he will join.

Dan Gosling – looks like it’s Bolton or Newcastle

There is a report that he will shock many people and choose Bolton Wanderers, but that’s a report from a Bolton Blog, which say they are hearing late-breaking news that the Devon-born player has indeed chosen the Lancashire club.

However, the Daily Mail is reporting Dan will choose Newcastle United over Bolton, West Ham and Sunderland who were also interested in the player.

Dan held talks with West Ham on Friday and then with Bolton Wanderers yesterday – but the Newcastle club were first in, and talked to the player on Wednesday and then again by telephone on Friday,  and we would hope he would come to Tyneside.

There’s not much we can do until the announcement is made – said to be tomorrow.

Everton are appealing and hoping they can force some fee of compensation to be paid to them, if their appeal meets with success.

We don’t know who Dan will choose, but the way we look at it – if he doesn’t choose Newcastle it was not to be, and we only want players who are keen to come and play for the Newcastle United club.

We learned that lesson when out big stars during the relegation season just couldn’t care less, and the players who stayed with the sinking ship –  showed terrific heart and passion during out tremendous promotion season last season.

If Dan does choose the Magpies, then it’s a fantastic coup for the club, who were the first in for Gosling, once the news of the amazing Everton foul-up on his contract, was first revealed.

We wait and hope.

From what i read from everton fans they dont seem to rate him.

But that may be because hes just left them for nothing.

He’s good, but he’s not great. He’s worth it on a free, but there are definitely better options out there

The only reason i can see him joining Bolton is because they offered him first team football, in the centre of the park.

At 20, getting a centre midfield slot with guthrie, barton, nolan and Smith is difficult.

I hope we have signed him, he’s a good young prospect even better if he’s on a free. If Bolton have snatched him oh well we move on to the next targets.

Yeah, Everton fans don’t rate him suddenly since he’s left them.

Was a top prospect along with Rodwell just six months ago.
