Newcastle Interested In Wolves Central Midfielder

The transfer season has certainly picked up big time over the last week,  and Newcastle are being linked with a number of players, although which reports are accurate we have no idea.

David Jones – reported interest from Newcastle

The latest player said to be interesting Newcastle is Wolves 25 year-old midfielder David Jones, with Bolton and Blackburn also said to be monitoring the player.

The Southport-born player started his career in the Manchester United Youth System back in 1995, and after some loan stints at Preston North End, Dutch club NEC Nijmegen and Derby County he left the Red Devils to sign for Derby County for £1M in 2008.

And the 5’11” player put in some strong performances for Wolves last season, as they rallied late in the season to finish in 15th position and avoid relegation.

David has just one year left on his contract at Molineux and has a single cap at England U21 level, and has made 54 appearances for Wolves, and scored 5 goals.

But we don’t know whether this report has any truth in it.

personally i think the players we need are

paul scharner premier league experience, solid, good character, wigan fan favourite, back up for jose, available for nothing

jonathon de guzman, class youngster over 100 appearences for feynoord, some flare into the midfield, can be used upfront, available for nothing

dan gosling, top class england under 21 with some premier league experience, certain to get better and better although he is out for 4 months injured, available for free.

yannick djalo, fast skillfull attacker that would compliment carroll’s strength and height brilliantly, available for 7 million or 5 million and xisco

then ater that its a toss up as to wether to get anyone on loan personally i think if we get all them we shouldnt need anyone, and it looks as if wilshere will got to bolton if anywhere. and i doubt that rose, lansbury, naughton, welbeck would get into the side . id possibly take vladimmir wiess and maybes cleverly on loan just to be certain that we have enough

James Perch got #14. Look how smart I am.
The first picture on the site at the top has him on his bike and on his right hand side it has #14. No need to thank me.

Look , howmany of us have even heard of this guy ?
    Fuggedaboudit !
Get Paul Scharner, would be a great addition, put some spine into the side and his work ethic is unrivaled, an experienced pro who can play for these next couple of critical seasons.
De Guzman why was he let go, something not right there ?
    Djalo ? Utaka nah !
Even linking us with a Romanian striker for under £1,5m. how good can these people be,
FFS get Scharner the best deal around.

David Jones is actually a class player. I watched Wolves a few times last season and he was their best player along with Doyle. I think he would be good for us as he is really creative and plays forward. Just cos he’s English doesnt mean he;s no good…far better than Scharner. I doubt wolves will sell tho cos he’s that good
