The transfer season has certainly picked up big time over the last week, and Newcastle are being linked with a number of players, although which reports are accurate we have no idea.
David Jones – reported interest from Newcastle
The latest player said to be interesting Newcastle is Wolves 25 year-old midfielder David Jones, with Bolton and Blackburn also said to be monitoring the player.
The Southport-born player started his career in the Manchester United Youth System back in 1995, and after some loan stints at Preston North End, Dutch club NEC Nijmegen and Derby County he left the Red Devils to sign for Derby County for £1M in 2008.
And the 5’11” player put in some strong performances for Wolves last season, as they rallied late in the season to finish in 15th position and avoid relegation.
David has just one year left on his contract at Molineux and has a single cap at England U21 level, and has made 54 appearances for Wolves, and scored 5 goals.
But we don’t know whether this report has any truth in it.
