There is news today that the Premier League club that Arsenal’s 17 year-old youngster Jack Wilshere will play for on loan next season will be known.
Jack Wilshere – Bolton or Newcastle
The top two club vying for the youngster, seem to be Bolton Wanderers, whom he was with from last January, new Premier League news boys – Newcastle.
Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is anxious to tie up the player for next season, but West Ham are also said to be keen on the budding star English midfielder.
We think Arsene Wenger may decide in favor of Newcastle, where young Jack will be playing in front of 52.000 fans at St. James’ Park, and that has to be a formative experience for any young player.
Of course we are also completely biased in that opinion. 😀
It could also be that Arsene Wenger may decide the player is now ready for first team football next season, and if that is true, he may restrict his loan until January, or may not even send the youngster out to another club at all.
In out poll on which players our readers would like to come and play on loan next season – Jack is easily the most popular choice with 70% of the vote, Vladimir Weiss is second with 44% and Tom Cleverley 3rd at 30%.
Each reader has two votes, and you can vote on our home page.

Comment #1Ed, just wish folks would stop referring to us as ‘the premiership’s new boys’. We are hardly new in this division – and we should have won it on more than one occasion.
Great articles though.

Comment #2Good player like, im concerned that we will have a hell of a lot of players at our disposal and quite a lot will be left out, especially in the midfield with gosling signing and then wilshere on loan. We should really be aiming at Weiss cos we need a winger and it would be a good move to get Hooper/Maynard and a LB. Do we really need Wilshere?

Comment #3Wilshire would be an excellent loan signing for the first half of the season especially if Gosling will be out injured through Nov/Dec.
So anticipating further injuries to the others, he’ll be a decent acquisition although I don’t see him getting a regular game unless we incur several injuries……

Comment #4Why sharpen your enemies sword? NUFC has its own youngsters that need games, let Wilshire learn his trade in the CCC or on Arsenals bench.

Comment #5We need to slowly push our youngsters in, and not rush them into the game, so as much as we have alot of youngsters, most arent ready for the first team game yet. Jack Wilshere would be a very good loan signing, no doubt.
