Gosling To Finalize Move To Newcastle Within Next 24 Hours

Sky Sports is reporting that it’s their understanding that Dan Gosling’s protracted move to Newcastle will be carried out, and done and dusted with 24 hours.

Dan Gosling – a Newcastle player very soon

Free-transfer Gosling has left the Goodison Park club, after Everton amazingly  missed the deadline to offer him a new contract in mid-May.

And there is news that Everton have also failed in a bid to take the case to a tribunal, where a compensation fee would have been put on the player, and the Newcastle club would have had to pay that.

So if these reports are true Newcastle will get the player for free, with a deal either four or five years, depending on which news reports you believe, and a very decent wage being paid to Dan.

Newcast;le beat West Ham and Sunderland for the player, and it looks like Gosling was only too willing to join the Tyneside club.

Gosling is recovering from an ACL knee injury and will be fit sometime towards the end of the year.

I have to dissagree Charlietoon, I have watched Gosling a few times, and he is very much a box to box midfielder. His style of play is very reminiscent of a young Scott Parker. Given his age, he can only get better too.

I ha agree with you G, Dan Gosling is a great prospect and could be the next Gerrard! although Guthrie has said he wants to be that!

He’s been set to sign “in the next 24 hours” for about three days now. Everton can still launch an appeal up until the close of business tomorrow, so I reckon Saturday will be the earliest the club announce anything.

Not seen much of this boy but talking to a few Evertonians they say he’s ok but lacks pace.

It maybe sour grapes but getting a 4MN rated very young player on a free is good business….
