Newcastle To Miss Out On Jack Wilshere

A report today in the Daily Mirror that Arsene Wenger does not want to let Jack Wilshere go out on loan next season.

Jack Wilshere – will stay at Arsenal next season

It seems that Wenger thinks it’s time for Jack to make an impact in the Arsenal side next season, at just 18 years old.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle took the promising  midfield prospect on loan last  January at the Reebok Stadium, and it looks like he was after Jack for a season long loan deal, and reports were also that Newcastle were interested.

Wilshere is thought to be part of England’s plans for the European Championships in the Ukraine and Poland in  2012, and it looks like Arsene thinks Jack can get a lot of first team games next season at the London club.

It seems that Wilshere has made an impact on Arsenal’s tour of Austria and Wenger, a master at bringing young  players through the ranks at Arsenal,  thinks he is ready right now.

But we don’t think this is a blow to Newcastle,  because we have our own very impressive central midfielder in 17 year-old Slovenian Haris Vuckic – so why bring in Jack when we could be giving Haris some games?

The priority has to be with your own youngsters, after all.

Could not agree more Ed, is time for us to find out if our own kids are good enough, and we are all extremely hopeful of Vuckic.

By the way, welcome back hometo God’s own Country, I hope your holiday has been good – despite the weather!!!!

If this is the case, then why are we looking at getting Tom Cleverly on loan from the Mancs for a season???

Our midfield consist of: Nolan, Smith, Barton, Gutherie, Jonas, Routledge, Vuckic, Gosling, Ferguson, Lua Lua, Inman, Adjei & we still want to loan Cleverly too.. doesn’t make any sense to me at all 🙁

So thats 12 midfield players in our 1st team & we’re still being linked with loanee’s to boot….

Btw, NUFC.com have Smith down as a forward in there players list, so not sure if we can count him as a midfielder or not, even though he’s played more games for us there than at the front 🙂

I’m glad Wenger is showing some faith in Wilshere now because he’s the future of the England side. We havent produced a top technical player like that, a spanish-style player if you like, for too long.

I hope we don’t go in for Cleverly either because he is a more central player and what we need to cover on the flanks is another proper winger who will get to the byline. The likes of Barton, Guthrie, Gosling and Vuckic can cover the wide positions and give more balance and protection if required.
