Arsenal’s Henri Lansbury Available – Will Newcastle Move?

News this morning that Newcastle and West Brom have been informed that Arsenal’s Henri Lansbury will go out on loan next season.

Henri Lansbury – will Newcastle move?

The Arsenal central midfielder wants first-team football next season, and it will be interesting to see if Newcastle move in for the impressive youngster, who made his debut for Arsenal at just 17.

Henri is a good player in the making, but the Magpies also have 17 year-old Slovenina U21 star Haris Vuckic at the Tyneside club, and he also needs first team football next season.

Arsene Wenger has decided to allow the 19-year-old to leave the Emirates for a season long loan deal,  but only to another Premier League club, and Arsene is known to be an admirer of the famous Newcastle United club.

Lansbury was good while on loan at Watford last season, and the news suggests he will speak to the two managers, Chris Hughton and Roberto Di Matteo before deciding where he will spend next season.

But we’d be a little surprised if Chris brought  Lansbury to Newcastle, since he will have a fight on his hands for first team football, with Barton, Smith, Nolan and Guthrie all fighting it out already in central midfield.

The 19 year-old 6′ tall midfielder, who was born in Enfield,  has 60 first class appearances to his name so far,  and is an England U21 International already.

Dont need him, and you forgot to mention Gossling when he gets back from injury. I want us to blood Vuckic so no to Lansbury for me, but Cleverley and Arfa are a big yes, and they are what we are now missing. Wing cover and ACM

Coming back to last night. It was probably one of the best defensive performances I have ever seen from us.

On the minus side is Nolan now fighting Sol for the biggest tuimmy award !! More seriously only one shot on goal in 90 mins. Is this Lansbury a creative type ?

Yeah nolan did look a little overweight! Deportivo never have been a team who conceed many goals, they have always had a good defence, im still worried about right back for us, ryan taylor just is not a right back for me! And on lansbury, I have said for ages how much i rate the lad, but like everyone says we already have loads of players in that position, shame really. We need some cover in wide areas and another striker aswell.

RH@5, I suggest Sol & Kev read the blogs (and pay attention the the ads…):

‘Trick of a tiny belly…. Cut down on your belly every day by using this 1 weird old tip.’

Apparently chocolate, chips and pies are out, so s** that for a game of soldiers..

I still think newcastle should have got rid of ameobi, r.taylor, smith, and xisco over the summer, none of these players are good enough for the prem, i think we would find it hard to offload xisco and smith, because of wages though, i still cant believe newcastle pay smith what they do, even in his prime at leeds, he was nothing special!

Hi Lewman, join the club, mate!

Apparently it’s slimming tea, but it’s a whole pile of crap really. Detox is important, but the who regime has to change as well. Mrs Beefheart, who knows about these things, managed to get me to lose 7 kilos in a month from 92 kilo to 85 kilo without too much of a struggle. I still have 5 kilos to go to reach my fighting weight of 80kg but, hey, I’m in the right direction to get back to 5-a-side later this month.

Problem one is heavy exercise when you are overweight ain’t a good idea anyway as it just puts too much pressure on knee joints etc. Problem two is the older you get, the less you need to eat anyway so I have to adjust to smaller plate sizes as well. Ho hum…

Swimming?? No chance. When I jumped in the water jumped out… Have you ever seen ‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon’? Well, if so, you get the idea – not a pretty site in my baggies I’m afraid.

According to my Dad (who asside from being a Dad which makes him knowledgable about everything, is a doctor) reckons running is the best form of fat burning exercise as it’s the highest intensity and works the legs well (legs burn most energy)…BUT…you have be moving for about 40 minutes for it to be really effective.

I reckon do a little bit of something every day, even if it’s only a fast walk to shops and a few press ups while the tellies on!

@jesus: It is. Cardiovascular exercise burns the calories and trims the fat, also 40 minutes is nothing when you consider warm ups and downs (15 minute warm up, 30 minute run, 15 minute warm down – and there’s plenty of leeway in that).

I don’t think they’re as big as they look btw. Remember that the new shirts are pretty tight as they are, so y’know, that could have a lot to do with it.

drink red wine instead of beer, just look at the french for proof of how this trick works.

dont eat your dinner just before going to sleep as you wake up more hungry.

always grill your bacon and dont eat pastry or mayonaisse.

Will you never learn? Stop spraying this kind of rubbish… I know this is a blog to have a say concerning NUFC.. but… I don’t know.. I think its wrong. Especially when I think Nolan looked commited and sharp yesterday.

As NUFC blog seems to have become a subdivision of WeightWatchers in the last few hours I will pitch in with my two hap’th. The best way to lose weight is not to take it in in the first place. You need to run 100 miles to burn off a pound of fat. Seems like hard work to me. Maybe Captain Beefheart should reinvent himself as Captain Vegeheart as too much beef and hearts make uneasy bedfellows. Joking apart, Beefy, keep writing, you have a talent for it… maybe a column each week for the Daily Mail? Would pay well, but kiss goodbye to entry at SJP. Oh, sorry Ed,to get back to the point of this blog, we don’t need Lansbury while we have Vuckic.
