N’Zogbia Wants Out Of Wigan – It’s Deja Vu All Over Again

We are not surprised in the least that a short 18 months after Charles N’Zogbia left Newcastle for Wigan Athletic, he is now itching for a move away from the Wigan club.

N’Zogbia – while still on Newcastle’s books

And it seems the lad has gone on strike at the Lancashire club as  manager Roberto Martinez claimed the winger was “not in the right frame of mind” to play in the 4-0 humiliation at home  on Saturday, by heavy relegation favorites Blackpool, and  at the DW Stadium too.

But the reports are that N’Zogbia, his own biggest fan, told Roberto Martinez he would not play and is out to get a move away from Wigan.

Birmingham have recently had an £8M offer for the Frenchman turned down, as Wigan are attempting to get Brum to increase their offer, with no success, at least so far.

A source close to N’Zogbia, 24, said:

“Charles is desperate to get out of Wigan. He wants a new challenge and feels the club is not being straight with him.”

But there’s a pattern to all of this, as Charles seems to completely over-rate himself as a player,  and even before the World Cup this summer, he talked about even playing for England – because he couldn’t get into the French side.

And if Charles gets his wish and does move to Birmingham – how long will it be before he wants out of Birmingham – maybe even less than 18 months, we would suggest.

We know Charles very well from his four years on Tyneside, and he still seems to act like a child – and we’re sorry to have to say that – but it’s the truth.

Comments welcome.

Zoggy is a good player, but unfortunately the biggest obstacle in his own progression is himself. I reckon he will dissapear into obscurity within the next 5 years, which is a shame, because he could have been a great player.

What is it about these french youngster??? First it HBA & now Zogs… didn’t anyone in the French league tell them they just can’t go on strike when they want a move??

I suppose it didn’t help with the whole French 1st team doing the same at the WC did it.. lol

By its very nature – Deja Vu does not require “all over again” to be said. Deja Vu is the all over again. I guess Ed has been in America too long, where they say this silly version of the expression along with other great quotes like “Whoda thunk it?” instead of “Who would of thought it?”

N’Zogbia is a pleb though. He seems like a less funny, less talented version of the other French pleb in the news that we’re after. At least Ben Arfa is funny and swears.

Can’t believe when he was at Newcastle it was “Oh yes, Madrid want me, Arsenal are interested” and where did he end up… Wigan.

Oh no but NOW he’s moving on to that European giant we heard about … Birmingham City.

Hey wickywoowoo, the phrase was coined by Yogi Berra, the famous New York Yankee who also said things like “90% of the game is half mental.” I assume Ed, like most anyone else who uses the phrase, understands the irony of it.

And I agree on HBA — seems a bit nutty but that’s okay if he can play.

Very proud of you, wickywoowoo – now we’re in the Premier League we need to raise our literary tone!!!!
While we are talking of whining Frenchmen, please can someone explain to me exactly what Ben Arfa is so upset with his club about, and do we know exactly who has influenced him so much that he has set his heart on us? I do read the blog a lot but I must have missed the start of all this.
