Ben Arfa On His Way To AC Milan?

We heard these stories yesterday and wondered if there was any truth in them but there is news that Ben Arfa may be acquired by AC Milan in a part exchange deal.

Ben Arfa – off to Italy?

Marseilles midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa could be on his way to Italy, and that’s according to the Corriere dello Sport, who say that top club AC Milan are trying to work out a deal with the French club that will allow them to capture the 23 year-old midfielder.

As we all know Ben Arfa went on strike late last week, after his proposed loan move to Newcastle was called off by the Marseilles club,  but he returned to Marseilles yesterday and now awaits his fate.

The reports suggest the Italian club is ready to offer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for Ben Arfa in a part-exchange deal.

But we have no idea if this report is true, and only yesterday there were similar stories floating around, but in that case the Italian club was said to be Inter Milan who were interested in the young Frenchman.

As this story drifts away from Newcastle being able to capture the youngster,  so will our interest in this saga.

Comments welcome.

Ashley and his yes men screw us again. Why does he want to own this team when he has no ambition? I am not expecting any real decent signings before the end of the month. I have no belief in our leadership. I back the players and that is all.

according to French newspaper Le Parisien, AC Milan will look to bring Ben Arfa to the San Siro, with Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar moving to Marseille in the other direction.

The French champions are in the market for a target man and including Ben Arfa in the deal would make the signing of Huntelaar more affordable for Marseille.

Relax people. Corriere dello Sport is about as accurate as The Daily Sport!

It is indeed a very very very poor source that shouldn’t even be given the light of day, much like Tribal Football, IMScouting and the like!

RASHID – you are so right, why is that not happening here!

I cant for the life of me see how any billionaire would choose balckburn > newcastle. The financial benefits with toon are ridiculous, i just cant get my head a round it. Even Man city, how is that not us?!

RASHID we had attracted him, he was actualy in Newcastle last week to try to push the deal along, but such is to p*** poor running of the club these days that we have let it drag on for so long now that it appears other clubs may have joined the race, clubs which Arfa will turn Newcastle down for.

Hopefully there is not truth to the rumours though, we saw yesterday that we realy need a creative player like Benny, and were lucky with his rare situation to be even in with a chance to sign him.

well if this lad is as good as the posters on here & on other sites claim he is then i would expect all the european giants chasing his signature.

so that’s newcastle & milan (supposedly) to date !!!

my opionion is he’s no more than a overhyped trouble maker that wants to use newcastle as a stepping stone to better things.

we have a manager with no pulling power & an owner that would’nt part with the skin off his shite – not a good combo is it.

we’ll have to be content with what we’re good at – buying wanna be prem players from the championship.

    fatman’s gamble.

    @Toon XI

Mate how can you pin this on Ashley? It’s Marseille and their management that messed up the deal, deciding that after saying Ben Arfa could leave on loan then supposedly changing their minds. I’m no big Ashley fan but he’s trying to run the club in the right way. Long gone are the days when we’re payin megabucks for a flop in the mold of Viana, Luque etc (and yes i know you can include Xisco in this list too). Ashley has put loads of money into this club already if reports are correct and we lost so much money when we got relegated. The money simply isn’t there. Ashley is losing money by the bucket load so why should he fork out even more? It’s not about short term gains, it’s long term future we should look at!!

I’ll tell you how it’s not us it’s because Mike Ashley wants a completely unrealistic price for us which people don’t want to pay. He went over to Dubai and bandied us around for £320 million arsehole that he is.

No surprise at all. Mackems, Westham, Wigan have more than 10m to spend but for Newcastle less than 2m.

dont worry people the italian press have to be taken with a pich of salt. Here in Malta we watch Italian TV all day, and they continue to invent stories everyday and never guess one right…lets hope that continues.

I have checked in other sites like La Gazzetta Dello Sport and there is no mention.

    Keep the faith

    and another thing…..

It’s illegal to talk to a player without the consent of his parent club, meaning we would be in breach of Fifa/Uefa laws if we talked to Ben Arfa when Marseille were denying, so a.l.9, it’s not **** poor management, it’s not breaking the law.

So sick of reading about so called club supporters who have nothing better to do than blame Ashley and the management for everything that goes wrong at the club. Yes they have messed up big time in the past and seem to have the communication skills of a small child at times, but they are trying, the Dan Gosling signing has shown their ambition in my opinion!

Yeah spoonz, your post would hade sense if i’d have actualy said that like…

What i’m saying is that if we let Arfa slip for the sake of 5 million then we are stupid, even if he was poor at us we’d get the majority of that back if we flogged him next year. (I never once mentioned we should be talking to him behind his back, you just made that bit up)

5mill nowerdays for a player of Arfa’s quality is an absolute steal.

I’m sick of so called supporters saying silly things such as “the Dan Gosling signing has shown their ambition in my opinion!”

Seriously that must be the most deluded comment i’ve ever read.

People, i’m sorry, i not blame my belove club for attracting star player like Arfa or other, i know our club ability in tracking star player and also some star player have dream about playing with us, just i think because of our top management who make our club become low rating among star player.

In my nation, some people always laugh at NUFC when watching game show, and some of them tell me, “its good to know your team name with toon army” this is because management at our club always making joke, for example before we relegate, we have 5manager in a season.. that cruel…

but i’m always love NUFC no matter what people say.

Now name of NUFC is not as famous as before because of our top management making chaos at NUFC.

To all fans of NUFC, forgive me about saying our club not attract star player and for what i say above. My english not good as your.

Nufc should capture both this players, and hope at least Ben Afra at last gets his Toon move in the end. We need to strengten with quality to survive, but again our cancer owner Ashley is gambling by not investing in the squad. He just takes the whole PL TV revenue in his own pocket to cover the loss from his previous failed gamble in 2008/09. He has no ambition, and we will never again be a top team with him as owner. Let’s hope we are the next team on the foreign billionairs takeover list.

    Here we go
We all thought this kind of thing would happen and when we signed Gosling, great (injured until new year, and God alone knows how long he’ll take to get back to form) but virtually nothing since and even bloody Blackpool have done more.
Time to get more urgent FFS.

it said the other day that his wages were something like 240,000 euros per month, anyways it worked out at just over 50k per week, it said this when it was mentioned in the french press, that he had offered to buy out his contract with OM, but the club refused

I dont think this will happen. AC have been trying to sell Huntelaar all summer and he has refused every deal as he is desperate to stay with Milan and prove himself. Also AC are more skint than we are.

Phillippe Auclair (Talkshites French Expert) has just said that Benfica came in with a straight cash deal that OM were desperate to accept but Ben Arfa point blank refused to consider it saying he only wants to play in England. Auclair reckons that Ben Arfa is on his way to us and if Hughton can get him playing it could be the best deal of the window.
