Unchanged Newcastle Side To Start Against Aston Villa

As expected Newcastle field the same side who started against Manchester United on Monday night.

Former Liverpool player Danny Guthrie has just lost his fitness battle and is not included in the squad. but Danish striker Peter Lovenkrands is on the substitutes bench, having missed out at Old Trafford with a groin injury.

The subs bench contains teenagers Haris Vuckic and James Tavernier –  and  is  Tim Krul, Ryan Taylor, Xisco, Shola Ameobi, Haris Vuckic, Peter Lovenkrands, James Tavernier.

New signing Stephen Ireland is included in the Aston Villa starting eleven, and makes his debut this afternoon.

Howay The Lads!! – we need a win.

TEAMS:

Newcastle United: Steve Harper, James Perch, Mike Williamson, Fabricio Coloccini, Jonas Enrique, Wayne Routledge, Alan Smith, Joey Barton, Jonas Gutierrez, Kevin Nolan, Andy Carroll.
Subs: Ryan Taylor, Xisco, Shola Ameobi, Tim Krul, Haris Vuckic, Peter Lovenkrands, James Tavernier.

Not too concern with formation as long as we dont keep falling back. Its gross to be defending deep, at home against Villa!

The crowd will definitely do a great job for us, which could prove vital in this game.

In the light of this I wish to revise my prediction from 1-2 Villa to 0-2 Villa. Perch will still get roasted and Harps will still concede at near post. Wake up, Hoots, we are back in the Prem but you’d never guess it looking at this.

    KK Pleeeez come back….

    same team same result 0-3.

The bench is a disgrace and if the HBA deal is dead then fatash should expect a few empty stadiums soon.

He spends his cash and then we will spend ours

So both deals have collapsed for Tiote and Arfa, no surprise there then.

It’s only the second game, give the lads a break… I’m hoping they’ll play ok but ain’t happy with the team or the bench, shows how poor our squad actually is.

Look at the Villa team and then look at ours, then ask yourself… are we going to get a result?

A tenner says CH will be gone by Xmas. I was wrong about CH, the Fizzy flattery factor was far higher than anyone but the most cynical realised. This is a not funny.
