Newcastle Must Be Doing Something Right To Attract Ben Arfa

Chris Hughton will have 23 year-old Ben Arfa at training today,  and he will soon face his final frantic day in the transfer market, which closes tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 pm.

Ben Arfa – training at Benton today

Most Newcastle fans are very satisfied so far at the talent the club has been able to acquire over the summer, and certainly the squad, with the addition of James Perch, Dan Gosling, Sol Campbell, Cheick Tiote and Ben Arfa,  has been well strengthened.

And there could be another two players arriving before tomorrow afternoon.

Chris Hughton talked to the Evening Chronicle today:

“Ben Arfa’s here and he’s ready to show what he can do.” “We’re looking forward to seeing him. He’ll train for the first time today.”

“We know what he can bring to the team because he’s a quality signing.” “This is a lovely challenge for him.”

“He wanted to come to the Premier League, and he wanted to come to us.” “We’re not just bringing him here because there was nowhere else for him to go.”

Ben Arfa is the type of player who Newcastle fans just love to love, because he has flair and enormous skills,  and can also score a goal or two.   The fact he has been labeled a bad boy just increases the interest in a player the fans want to see have a great career on Tyneside.

So far the young Frenchman is the signing that has captivated Newcastle fans the world over, during a transfer window which has surprised us, because we didn’t think we could attract or afford a player of his obvious quality.

And when you add to that the fact he held out for a couple of weeks to come to Newcastle, which was his first choice, the Newcastle club must be doing something right these days – unlike in the recent past.

That’s got to be good news for the people who count the most – the Newcastle fans.

Hi Birts, Keane is expected to come in on loan IF spurs strengthen. He is due to land in Newcastle tomorrow.

Only other rumour i have heard is that Hughton has talked to Mancini 3 times this week and wants one in on loan before the window shuts.

For hatems first nufc tv interview he needed an interpreter which makes it look like his english is very poor or doesnt have the confidence to attempt it at present.

Kilmarnock have signed Ben Gordon on loan from Chelsea, he is the other 19 year old left back there so maybe they are keeping hold of Van Annholt.

Ed i think the only reason we got HBA is because no-one else would touch him with a bargepole! Nevertheless i hope we get a good season out of him before he starts angling for a move to the Gunners.

The key guy in our transfer this time out was HBA. He is crucial for our creativity, cover on the wings & more importantly, the guy to play off AC. If we don’t get RK or The Wolf, we’re still good value till January.

Tiote is actually cover for Smith. Im certain in some away games I wont be surprise to see both playin in front of the back four. Can’t wait to see him eat Karl Henry for breakfast at St.James!

The Wolf is a striker with wonderful technical skills, pace & footballing brain. Watch his goal against FC Gronigen. Sublime. 8m is quite cheap imo for that amount of class. Helps havin 2 Dutch speakin to help each other in a new country I feel.

That ex-Sochaux LB would oso be useful to have around for HBA climatisation on Tyneside. What’s his name again, anyone?

Check this match between FC Utrecht vs FC Twente for The Wolf & Tiote on opposing sides

outside pitch, he got problems with players, coach and even the football club

Inside the pitch, he is pure quality

he is now 23 years old, hope he is mature and don’t repeat his mistakes before
