Newcastle United may have got all the players they are bringing in this summer, already at the club.
Chris Hughton – there may be some late developments
It seems there are some difficulties arising with the potential loan deal for Robbie Keane, and not the least of which is that it seems he doesn’t want to come to Newcastle.
And there was some doubts placed on strike target Ricky van Wolfswinkel of FC Utrecht, because Newcastle are unlikely to want to spend £8M on the 21 year-old.
There’s a chance Newcastle could get 19 year-old Greg Cunningham from the Eastlands club, as left-back cover for Jose Enrique, but no chance Newcastle will now get Roque Santa Cruz, who may even be on his way back to Blackburn Rovers on loan.
And the latest rumors concerning Robbie Keane is that Turkish club, Besiktas, have launched a surprise bid to sign the Tottenham Hotspur striker on loan, but there’s no way Robbie will go to Turkey.
Of course there are also the latest daft rumors going on at Sky Sports, where they are asking for latest news from the fans – and of course they are getting the usual stuff – like – I was at the airport today and saw Cristiano Ronaldo – and it looks like he’s signing for us. Yeah right, that kind of stuff.
Two silly rumors involving Newcastle are that Emile Heskey has been seen at the Benton training ground and that former Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas, of goldfish bowl fame, is on his way back to Newcastle from Spurs.
As we said they are daft rumors – let’s rephrase that – we hope they are daft rumors. 😀

Comment #81eren derdiyok has only scored 2 goals in 22 games for the swiss, thats not a good international record, but if i remember correctly, he plays quite deep in midfield for his country

Comment #86Gyan is only 24 and was class in the World Cup I thought, powerful player and has a decent eye for goal that will probably only improve. In todays markey 12 million is probably about right.

Comment #88Anyway considering they sold Jones for a quite ludicrous 12 mill it’s a class bit of buisness from the mackums. Not quite Benny Arfa for 5.5 mill though (subject t appearances) 😉

Comment #99I would dearly love to see Mike Ashley hold back on announcing 2 more players until 5 past 5 today then seeing Jim White wet himself with his gross over acting.
Then again I’d love Megan Fox to be my girlfriend.
I reckon the odds are around about the same f-all

Comment #107As much as I like the excitement of new signings, I’m relatively happy with the dealings and team so far. The big news for me is the situation with S. Taylor. Will he sign before 6pm and if not, will he be sold because if not, he’ll be free to talk to clubs from Jan……

Comment #109Strange day this. Last window it was people moaning about Ashley not getting anybody in until too late and now its people quite content with nobody coming in today. My oh my. Still think we need a couple more. Any Steven Taylor news. Has his agent dropped a big one on this issue? It seems CH wanted to keep him anyway. Steve can have some of my peanuts if he wants.

Comment #110ryan babels going to west ham not tottenham, meant to be part of the charlton cole deal..!! think we may actually be done in the market like, mackems have signed 8 players and sold 2 first teamers and are still shiiite =]

Comment #111sooner stevie taylor gets rid of his agent the better he’s only trying to get more money for himself rather than taylor, but it makes taylor look bad when news if out tht he’s demanding this n that.. i think wer all happy now because of the potential ashleys brought in without spending much money, i must admit ive been pleasantly suprised by ashleys willingness to back hughton well.. although i think we should of signed Hooper but im still happy =]

Babel is supposedly going to the Spurts, whihc may mean Jeane will leave but I think he’ll go to Villians instead on a perm move!!

Comment #118geordielad.. that Eren Derdiyok seems to set up alot of goals aswel just looking at his stats on wiki and he’s got quite good goalscoring and also his assists are rather good for a striker helps with him being tall same size as carroll i think but i think he would come at a cost aswel we supposidly offered 6 million back in 2008 and he’s improved since then
