No Problems With Ben Arfa’s Fitness – He’s Ready To Go

Most Newcastle fans will be hoping they seem the debut of French International Ben Arfa tomorrow afternoon against Blackpool at St. James’ Park.

Ben Arfa – Hughton says the lad is fit

There’s little doubt that Ben Arfa is the most exciting signing Newcastle have made this summer, even though it’s just a season-long loan deal initially, but if the lad plays 25 times for Newcastle, then he will be permanently transferred from his French club Marseilles for £5.5M.

Ben Arfa is a very special player with very special skills, which Newcastle fans just love to see, and he can also score those goals.

His last spectacular goal came when he was playing for France recently in a friendly with Norway – and of course that goal is available on YouTube  – here it is.

This lad could become a great great player for Newcastle, with goals like that hey – wonder if he can get one of those tomorrow afternoon?

Chris Hughton also says that after a couple of weeks training at Newcastle with his new team mates, Ben Arfa is ready.

Chris said today:

“He is a very gifted footballer who can play anywhere across the forward line,” “He should be ready.”

“He’s missed a little bit of training but he’s played a fair amount of games and just before he joined us he was involved in a full international with France. So, he’ll be fit – no problems.”

When there was news a few weeks ago that Newcastle may be after Ben Arfa behind the scenes, Chris made that comment about him being a cracking player.

And that was seen by some – hoped by some is probably more accurate –  to be a positive clue that Newcastle were really interested in the player – which of course they were – as we now know.

Certainly Newcastle fans are looking forward to tomorrow’s game if only to get a glimpse of Ben Arfa in a black and white shirt.

At some point during the game they will be hoping he will come on for his debut, and the 23 year-old is likely to get a great reception from the appreciative fans tomorrow afternoon.

If  Ben Arfa doesn’t know how good and passionate the Newcastle fans are, then he certainly will by the time the game finishes tomorrow afternoon – hopefully with another Newcastle win.

Howay The Lads!!

I prefer to be patient with Ben Arfa and give him time to adjust to the EPL.

No way should he start tomw, bring off the bench for the final 30 mins, give him a chance to settle in england.

subs: krul, campbell, perch, tiote, ben arfa, lovo

stick with the side that has been performing well, and we also have a very strong bench, first time in ages!

Whilst I am chomping at the bit to see HBA get on the field, what Toon XI says makes sense. He has come from the french league where you get loads of time on the ball with every pass. In the Prem, you get none. We need to introduce him slowly or we will just knack him.

That’s great news. Can’t wait for him to terrorize the defenders and provide Carroll with a hatrick.
