Blackpool Result A Massive Disappointment

Chris Hughton has come out today and told Newcastle fans what they already know, and have been suffering from all week – Newcastle’s result against Blackpool was a massive disappointment.

Chris Hughton – Blackpool result a massive disappointment

Chris Hughton knows that Newcastle will need to be a lot more clinical with their chances on Saturday at Goodison Park, if they want to get anything at all out of that game, as he said today:

“It was a massive disappointment and that’s not taking anything away from a very good Blackpool team on the day,”

“But I think with the amount of chances that we had in that game I’m quite sure that if we were to play that game over again we’d win nine times out of 10.”

“That’s the game. The most important thing now is that we’ve got to recover from that. We’ve got to bounce back from that.”   “If we’re able to take our goalscoring opportunities in our forthcoming games I’m sure some of the results we want to get.”

We hope Newcastle continue creating chances this Saturday, and after a full week’s training and some concentrated reflection this week on what went wrong last weekend, we have to think Newcastle will be a lot sharper in front of goal.

We hope Newcastle will be a lot sharper in front of goal.

There were 3 times in the Blackpool game, when Newcastle players were one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and just couldn’t put the ball in the net.

We’re looking for a good result on Saturday, and if Chris can also start Ben Arfa,  and maybe introduce Cheick Tiote at some point during the game, we should have a much better chance of securing all 3 points on Saturday.

But the Newcastle performance in the final third of the pitch on Saturday,  will have to be a lot better than last weekend, that’s for sure.

That headline is the understatement of the season so far. 😉

Hoping for 3 points on Saturday but expectations are low. Everton is a good team that is due for a win. I believe they started poorly last year as well and caught fire later in season.

How many times and how long you gonna drag this one out ED??

    Blackpool disappointing blah blah blah.

Get over move on and most of all stop reminding every frigga of it FFS!!!

Hoping for a draw at the weekend. That would suit me down to the ground at one of the hardest grounds to play at (Just ask the mancs). and if we win id be extatic, but wont be too down if we lose providing its not embarrassing.

Sometimes you have games when the ball doesn’t run for you. We all know that. But what was massively disappointing was the 4-5-1 tactic at home to Blackpool.
That is why we failed to win a winnable game.
But as Angry says, time to move on.

    Afternoon Lads/Lasses

I’m off to Egypt tomorrow morning for a week. Anyone know the names of the channels for which games are broadcasted overseas?

I’m going to have to do a lot of pointing and loud talking for them to get a rough idea of putting the game on, but a channel name would win half the battle for me.

Also, anyone know of any websites I can watch the games through my iphone?

Hotel’s got WiFi, so that’s my last resort!

Any comments/help would be greatly appreciated!

smiley_nufc the overseas channels showing games are always listed on for every game. When I was in Egypt last year there were loads of games on TV so shouldnt be to hard to find.
