Lionel Messi Compliments “Fighting” Newcastle United

The great Lionel Messi has complimented Newcastle United today, by saying they are a great fighting side.

Lionel Messi – Newcastle always put up a good fight

With Carlos Tevez playing today at Eastlands, and Jonas Gutierrez and Fab Coloccini expected to be in the Newcastle side, the game is expected to be watched  by millions of fans in Argentina.

And the world-wide audience for this game could be huge – so a good chance for Newcastle United to do well today – hopefully.

This is what Lionel Messi said yesterday:

“The great thing about both Jonas and Colo is, like Newcastle, they always seem to put up a good fight.” I think that tomorrow, for sure, it will be a great game to watch.”

“Man City have been playing very well and so has Carlos Tevez.” “They’ve both been scoring well this season so far.” “Newcastle have a great chance because they come out fighting for each game.”

“And for all three of them, Jonas, Colo and Carlos, they will see this as a nice match to play in because three Argentinians are all involved with the game.” “Jonas has a lot of skill, we’ve seen him score goals but he can also make them as well.”

“He’s got the ability to beat his man and get past him.”  “If he can link up with the strikers at Newcastle, then he should create a few goals this season.”  “I wish him all of the best for the rest of the season with Newcastle.”

Those are good words from Lionel Messi, who returned from injury in mid-week when Barcelona drew 1-1 at the Russian Champions Rubin Kazan, in the European Champions League.

Certainly it seems like Jonas and Fabricio are getting Newcastle some good press, and we like that.

Im only wary of 2 city players.
One is Yaya toure and the other one is Tevez.
If we can block them, then the game is ours.

i think it just might be something to do with ameobi’s performance against chelsea whilst carroll has been pretty anonymous last few games. Also bearing in mind we may have to deal without carroll whilst he is on trial later this month.
