News Of Joe Kinnear’s Newcastle Return – Nonsense

The news in the last couple of days that Joe Kinnear is being linked with a return to Newcastle United as manager, is pure paper talk.

Joe Kinnear while on Tyneside

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Chris Hughton is in danger of the sack, and that Joe Kinnear would be the one to be brought in, if Chris fails to prove he can manage successfully in the Premier League.

It’s probably true that former manager Joe Kinnear would love to return to St James’ Park (who wouldn’t?), but we wonder whether ever going back into football management would be the right thing for Joe to do, given his long history of heart problems.

Chris Hughton should and will be given ample time to prove he can also be successful in the Premier League, as he was last season in the Championship, and there is every indication he can do just that.

With just a little bit of luck Newcastle would have had more than the 8 points they have picked up from their first 8 league games, and in our relegation season two years ago, the side had just 6 points at this same time, from the first 8 league games,.

But 4 of those points came against Man United and Bolton in our first two league games of the season, and before Keegan left the club in early September.

A win on Saturday is all the club needs to steady the ship just a little bit.

Comments welcome.

We’ve had enough spontaneous combustion lately without JFK’s press conferences.

    No thanks.

This has got to be a wind up surely? We are more likely to get Messi as backup for Perch!

Steve Clarke was favourite last night.

I would love to see Rob Lee or Ketsbaia come back ‘Home’.

I see on nufc site, Gillespie is heading to Darlo.

    I want Shearer back!
Hoots doesn’t attack before we are at least one goal down.

On reflection we have to be realistic – Ashley will not be willing to pay Joe’s incapacity benefit. We need an attack minded number 1 and 2 (as recently commented) which for me is Beardo for starters.

I think Beardo is doing a fine job with the young lads, why rock one boat to steady another?

Frank Rijkaard was fired from Galatasaray the other day and him coming in as an assistant will be the best thing ever! His time at Barcelona he will teach our players a lot! I love his attacking football. But Joe Kinnear there is no way he will get back into coaching again bcuz of his health concerns. But you never know

if Hughton longer be coach of newcastle, i would like to see again as a coach to one of these 3, 1: kevin keegan, 2: Glen Roder and 3: Ruud Gullit, for a reason, in my opinion, are these three coaches , the best performers have given to newcastle
