I think Chris might be a little easy to please!

But no, we created chances against a backline that consisted of 5 (although FSA will no doubt say “IT WAS 3 WITH 2 WING BACKS!” – deep lying wing backs, like…) and ended up being a bit panicked towards the end to get the equaliser.

Win some, lose some. Let’s turn it around at Fulham.

i thought joey barton had changed his ways until he went and did tht to pederson he deserves the ban he is going to recieve no doubt it will be a hefty one anall and we will miss him but he shouldnt get away with things like that..also we played bloody terrible tonight tiote well al not comment on his performance.. only positive was ranger looked lively when he came on and should be given a start on sat if ameobi is unfit.

time for chris to mix it up a bit and change a couple for the starting line up on saturday, home to fulham and we should be picking up points against teams like this! bartons going to get atleast a 3match ban unless the ref makes a report to say he knew about it.

Barton is the only midfielder we have who has been creating goals lately. I don’t see us having much bite going forward against Fulham without him.

Guthrie may play and I’m sure CH will start Smith in Tiote’s place.

Let’s hope fresh legs on Saturday bring a positive result.

The player we have to watch in the Fulham squad is without a doubt Dempsey. He has the ability to change games and it’s a shame he isn’t started more often imo

OK, have calmed down a little bit, tho not much!
Wasn`t unexpected was it, we knew after everything good, Fat Sam`s team was here to bully us,and they did!
Hoots got all the plaudits agin Arse and rightly deserved, playing long and direct bypassing a midfield betta than us, but,
We knew Fatsam was playing Goliath, yet we went long again, no imagination, Shola was injured and came off on Sunday, yet he started.
Tiote whilst immense got lucky agin Arse early on when got caught on the ball, tonite he got caught early, Fatsam would know that!!
Big defence, big team closing us down early, needed to get behind them down the flanks then cross it in, and more guile in midfield, GUTHRIE tonite was his opportunity, but no!
Hoots is learning, I know that and still deserves his improved contract but, Holloway made 10 changes t`nite and nearly got a result away to Villa!
Concerned that Hoots favours players that are totally supportive rather than tactically what is needed for particular opponents.
Fulham next at home Sat, no Tiote agin Dempsey who wiil run it for them?
Joey punched Peterson in the chest, no doubt!! but how can the F—A– take retrospective action when the ref didn`t see it, Fool Atkinson re Benny at Shitee is the precodent.
Summing up, tactically in this division Hoots got to get sharper and use our squad a bit wiser, and maybe needs to understand that as a manager you can`t be everyones mate!
Sometimes, hate and fear can be good, then put your arms around them and on we go again!
    Worked for Fergie!
OVER AND OUT, sorry had to get it off my chest!

If chris is happy with this display and school boy errors then he should reconsider his position at newcastle,
Thank god we have not given him a long contract,

CT – agreed about CH needing to leverage his line up more. He played the same team in the first few weeks until it didn’t work. He is playing the same team over and over again. He needs to be creative from week to week or we will continue to drop points to teams in the bottom half. When was the last time you saw SAF start the same XI in successive weeks? Almost never!

This hurts to see @ SJP:

    Blackpool – 0 points
    Stoke – 0 points
    Wigan – 1 point
    Blackburn – 0 points

I know we have won some great road games and beat Villa and Scumderland at home, but those dropped points at SJP to bottom table teams may yet haunt us in May.

    Hi fellow Newcastle fans,
This is what I meant by being realistic.
Our team and fans get over excited about winning that winning “easier” games at home has been taken for granted. Our boys did not put in the type of effort required to secure 3 points today.
Newcastle United has to learn to work hard for each game like we did against Arsenal to secure 3 points.

After several good results, there was so much hype about england call-ups, 4th position, playing in europe and joey barton cleaning up his act etc.

Today, none of those happened. Lets just be humble and enjoy the good results that come while being realistic. Lets not self-destruct. Our players need to Concentrate and Focus on each game at hand.

come on lads……we sort of knew what was coming….

that is the toon – just playing fantastic and getting us all excited to come chrashing down like a ton of bricks….

proble out there was desire…..the players looked tired and lethargic.

Nolan looked like he was carrying an injury…Shola was the old Strolla….Tiote had a bad day, he really looked tired (who can blame him after the arsenal game)
Willo was run ragged by hoilitt and wasnt his best……

but hey…a few days and its saturday and a new game…but we are more realistic in the 10-13th position then the euro places…….

It must be the biggest wind up in the world supporting this team ! Win at Arsenal and lose at home to blasted Allardyce. What a waste.

Before everyone thinks Hughton is the next Fergie, he still shows an alarming lack of imagination at times.

Why is it that we try and play ” hoof ball ” teams at their own game. First Stoke and now Blackburn. Heading the ball away is probably the only thing Blackburn practice.

Several players look tired and instead of lumping it, we could have put some pace on in Routledge, Lovenkrands and Ranger on earlier to run at their defenders and given some people a rest.

If Tiote is banned, I would move Colo in to mid and bring Sol in at the back ( that’s if he’s ended his Marcelino impersonation yet.) Smith’s legs have gone and he gives us nothing in that position now.

As for barton and carroll, they just seem to have this never ending self destruct button. What exactly is their problem ? Playing football for crazy money, what am I missing !

I dont think he should receive any punishment. Come on, he barley hit him really and there was already a bit of push and shove going on.

If he can be banned for an incident the ref didnt see, then how about banning pederson for his blatant dive that got the free kick for the first goal? Just as bad in my opinion. One is being violent, the other is cheating in order to get his way.

Just let it go and let hughton deal with it. Its not exactly “ohh barton is back to his thuggish days”

He used to stick cigars in team mates eyes….this was just frustration. Lay off it.

Correct Rotonda and im not exactly happy with Barton, he could just as easily of walked away, but since the De Jong tackle ive given up on this whole stupid idea of the FA punishing someone by pretending to be the all mighty power in football.

They only make decisions that are obviously wrong and are too scared to make big decisions. Things like this should just be left to the club now in my opinion

In the FA cup, when bendtner blocked williamson from coming back into defense, Willo was running at full pelt and bendtner more or less clotheslined williamson. Did he get banned? No. Would that have hurt as well? Yes.

Bah, i dunno, i would normally say barton should be punished, but i dont think things should be referred to the FA anymore, not until they get things right.

If it weren’t for the fact if we sacked Barton another club would just come in and give him a chance I would get rid straight away, what on earth is he playing at! Will probably get a 6 game bam IMO especially seen as though it’s not the first time the f.a hve had to take action against him ,, what a complete tool. He could of been in-line for an England recall with the way he’s been playing!

You are right nimo, but both were violent. Someones facial expression doesnt really matter. they both had the thought to on purposely cause the opposition player to fall/hurt.

What about Cattermoles tackle on Modric the other day? Will cattermole be banned? No because the ref saw the incident and only gave it a yellow card. Even if he is wrong, they pretend they cant change anything.

My point isnt really about how Barton was wrong or right. More that the FA should look into more incidents than just this one.

Barton was wrong though, yes. I think we all agree on that and it does him no good.

oh and lets not forgot for all the barton haters. Another assist to barton. so keep whinning and see him get banned .

bunch of to$$ers. you win some , you lose some. yesterday was just not the day, if tiote can make a mistake, its not OUR DAY.
