Some Big Clubs Reportedly After Andy Carroll

Andy Carroll is not surprisingly attracting attention from some big clubs in England, because of his great start to the Premier League, where he stands as top scorer with 7 goals so far this season.

Andy Carroll – this lad is going nowhere

There are reports today that Tottenham are interested and “inside information”  they mention suggests that Andy will  have to leave the Newcastle area to fulfill his potential, because of the trouble he’s getting into on Tyneside.

And London will not be an even bigger temptation for Andy?

Give us a break – -if that’s not pure paper talk then we don’t know what is.

But it isn’t surprising that Tottenham, Liverpool and even Man United are said to be interested in the 6’4″ local striker, and Spurs are said to be preparing a bid of around £10M for Andy in January.

But £10M is nowhere near the value of Andy, although Spurs are said to be trying to tempt Newcastle further, with a part exchange deal involving Robbie Keane.

Now let’s think about this – a young 21 year striker, who is currently the top scorer in the PL, for Robbie Keane, who cannot get his game at Tottenham, and is now 30 years old and his best days are very likely behind him.

Hardly a good deal for Newcastle, whose strategy in any case is to only buy younger players, and the above sounds like even more silly paper talk.

We’re not surprised that big clubs are interested in the exciting and charismatic Newcastle striker, but if Newcastle know what they are doing, there’s absolutely no way they will sell their local hero.

No way.

no doubt that this is more rubbish from the papers trying to disrupt the club unfotunatly they have nothing better to write about. i love how they say he will have to leave newcastle to fulfill his potential, 7 goals already this season for a lad whos not played at this level week in week out before, if thats not fulfilling potential i dont know what is.

Shite. Notice how the press have drawn an arbitary line in the sand that says 10million. If he was at Man Utd a journo would say 25million. Mischievous haggling technique.

Anyway the lad is 21 and has not made it. He could be dropped if he plays shit today.

it wasn’t “inside information” it was some hack at the daily star who was spouting on about how players can’t cope with the lifestyle in newcastle.

funny, cos it never affected shearer, lee, speed, beardsley, ferdinand or given that badly, among countless others.

all carroll needs to do is sort his head out and remember which side his bread is buttered on and stop going out, getting pissed and acting like a clown.

Spurs might as well take Krul while they are there. Ohh and don’t forget Vuckic and all other up and coming players we have. Was Williamson the other day now its Carroll. By the time the press are finished we will be without a manager and we will be unable to field a team.

Shitty paper talk. Ignore it, if we give the press the hype they crave then they’ve won.
