There is some breaking news that The Sun is reporting, that Andy Carroll has been forced to pull out of the England squad with a groin injury.
Andy Carroll – out 2 weeks with groin injury
The Newcastle striker, 21, was ready to make his England debut against France on Wednesday night, but it seems he picked up a groin strain in yesterday’s match against Fulham.
West Ham’s Carlton Cole has been called up to replace Andy in the England squad.
This is bad news for Newcastle, as we already have Joey Barton banned for 3 games and Cheick Tiote picked up his 5th yellow card yesterday and will also miss the game at Bolton this Saturday.
It seems like our best players are going down like nine pins for one reason or another.
This is very unfortunate for Andy, but we remember when he was left out of the last England squad, he also would have been unable to play, having picked up a minor injury the weekend before.
But this time it seems he will be out for at least a couple of weeks.
Comments welcome.

Comment #41Shit scum 3, above us, never saw that coming. Mind ni Essien/Terry etc.
Saylor started off CF and was useful. Long shot but against Bolton where we need a strong presence might be a shout.
Sol back, Collo moved to holding MF would give us a strong back 5.
Jonas on the right where he can use his proper foot,Nolan/Guthrie CM, Lovan Perhaps wide left(Quick and natural left foota) maybe Saylor could win his fair share and hold the ball up for Jonas/Nolan/Loven to support. Just don`t think Ranger ready or strong enough.
Dion Dublin did it!

Comment #47CT , Even tho weve just give Chelsea a footballing lesson in their own back yard im sensible enough to know they are better than us , I suggest you treat the derby game the same.

Comment #48I don’t think you understand what the word “derby” means daffy. The fact we hammered you after coming up from promotion (I’d imagine you’re still dabbing those mental scars of that 07/08 season) means a lot.
We have unity – you have a Geordie manager. Go figure 😉

Comment #49jimiley, I agree abot Loven, if Lua Lua was available then he`d be obvious wide left.
Ok play Ranger wide right, he has the pace and leave Jonas wide left. Ranger did well in that pos against Chels.
daffy, we`ll see.

Comment #51Ameobi injured, barton carroll probably suspended and injured, can not get worse I think. Bolton is a tough opponent can beat you even with these players out, besides Tiote after his fifth yellow card, what worries me is that computer use against Chelsea in two weeks, Tiote would return, but most likely Ameobi, Barton and Carroll would be gone. sunderland after seeing it that we have many chances of beating Chelsea, the only thing wrong is that we play at home against them and at home have not been able to earn more than two games, even so I have hope in God and in players who can win. in that game by chelsea lampard and Benayoun will be no injury, and hopefully some alternate mess that match champions have that same week, something I am certain we must attack and fight and keep the ball high part of the game, but especially note, why not be many chances to score. ch should rely on Xisco, should give it a chance is a guy with great quality. good against chelsea we need to do something, a man ended up being used much in Mexico, winning in spite of the adversities that we face, and beat the visitors 4-3 in carling why not do it at home for at least 1-0 I hope they can get the victory did not want to lose the bet I have with a friend and losing my hair. I think we will need about 4 reinforcements in winter and only one in summer (Hatem Ben Arfa), Nicklas Bendtner is ready to leave the arsenal would be wonderful to bring him and see an attack Ben Arfa-carroll-bendtner think?.

Comment #54I agree with CT, good tactical move putting Collo in Tiote’s place, and Big Sol in at CB. Collo can win the ball and pass it well, could be a master stroke. Bolton are aerial bombardment and Guthrie / Smith will be floundering. Lets roll up our sleeves and battle, happy with a point. Other teams do it, its not negative at all, its sensible.
By the way, have I been in a coma for a couple of years, and now that I have woken up, Xisco is suddenly aclass act? Nope, didnt think so. The name of his game is ‘wages’, just like Luque and Marcelino. Tossers one and all.
Ranger & McLoven to start on Saturday, if they are not good enough, maybe Big Fat Mike will loosen his wallet in January and bolster the obvious shortfall we have. An injury or loss of form by Bigger Lad could be disasterous, and lets keep our fingers crossed he has pulled out of Capellos experiment simply as a precaution.
