Carroll Too Big For His Boots – Not Under Chris Hughton

We think Chris Hughton could well be the perfect manager for Andy Carroll.

Chris Hughton – nobody  getting carried away with this man in charge

With everything the 21 year-old has achieved in this last year, he may get too big for his boots, but not under Chris Hughton.

Chris is the expert at keeping his players centered and grounded, and not let them get too high when things are going great, and not let them get too low when things are not going so great.

And as Chris has said today, it’s the same for all players individually too, and they must be able to handle the good times, as well as the barren times.

They must be able to handle the inevitable ups and downs of the game of football.

This is what Chris said today:

“It’s something you don’t think about.” “You can’t afford to think about those things and the reason you don’t think about them is you know what the game is.”

“At this moment, he is on a high. He is playing very well, he has made his England debut – but he is a striker and strikers will go through barren spells where perhaps they are not playing so well and where they are not scoring goals.”

“I know the ups and downs of a player, but in particular a striker, so you can’t afford to think about those things.” “At the moment, we have to make the most of the form he is in.”

There’s no chance that Andy will get carried away with his own success, as long as Chris is his manager.  And Hughton has proved in his interviews after the games, that he’s cool whether the side has won or whether they have lost.

The only crack in that facade was when Chris was interviewed following the 5-1 demolition of Sunderland, a few weeks back – the biggest Newcastle win since December of 1955.

During that interview, we noticed very clearly that Chris just couldn’t help smiling all the way through.

Come on Chris – get a grip! 😀

Get his contract sorted, can`t think anyone could have done a better job under the circumstances and budget at his disposal.
Also doesn`t strike me as a greedy man.

His contract is sorted till the end of the season.
We are barely half way through that season.I’m sure a new one will be sorted by the end of the season when we know exactly where we stand. CH has been in the game long enough to know what he’s doing.Don’t let the media put conflict where there is’nt any.

It amazes me how another managers comment on this matter,”saying the board should get his contract sorted out”,”Chris Hughton should demand for a contract” and so on.

I believe that Chris Hughton is doing it the right way,Letting his Manger skills speak for himself.Maybe the Pukka Pie will open his eyes and how good hes got with Chris Hughton.

At times wor board is disgrace,Look what they done to Sir Bobby and Lets hope they dont do the same thing to Chris Hughton !.

We in Chris Hughton,We Trust !.

Good call Baro. That one must have great returns. I’ll go with my favourite player then. Jonas to score winner in a rollercoaster thriller, 2-3, NU down twice!

If we win today I will be upset and happy at the same time,Knowing that we can play great away from home but we’re shocking at times at home.
