Newcastle Said To Be Keen On Man United’s Anderson

22 year-old Manchester United midfielder Anderson is set to leave Old Trafford in January.

Anderson – are Newcastle interested in this player?

The Brazilian (full name Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira) cannot get a game at Man United and the youngster has decided he needs to move on to restart his career, and would you believe that Newcastle United are said to be interested, along with Greek side Panathinaikos.

Anderson has only started two games so far this season, but the player is still young at just 22, and has already played 105 times for the Red Devils after signing for them from Porto in 2007.

But before today the only club that seemed to be interested in the player was Panathinaikos, and their manager Jesualdo Ferreira is keen to sign the player and worked with him at Porto.

We’re not sure why Newcastle would be interested in this midfielder, other than he’s an excellent player who is still very young and comes with vast experience, having already played 8 times for Brazil, and 161 first class games with 13 goals.

And the fee Man United paid Porto was announced by the Portuguese club as €30M back in July, 2007, and his contract runs out in 2012, so if the fee is anywhere near that amount then count Newcastle out.

thats true, but Gosling is a winger, and seeing Smiths and Guthries weekends form, Anderson wouldn’t be bad…but i think is not possible

anderson would be a great acquistion .. can’t see it .. unless its a loan .. imagine a 5 man midfield with Tiote, Anderson, Arfa , Barton and Gutierrez .. top class.. also note we’ve no cover for Tiote as Smith is lost at the minute..

Gosling is a CM player, Box to Box, Viera Keane types. He is not a winger at all. He can Play RB

I’m not keen on this idea lads. Everytime I’ve seen Anderson I don’t see enough end product. Fergie is astute enough to stick with a player if he believes in him…

I think this player would be a fine aquisition. But, as has been pointed out, he will not be cheap as he is still on a contract till 2012. Seems the sort of player we need in the same side as Tiote and Ben Arfa. OK Simpson – get on the horn and tell him he should come to Tyneside after Xmas. Reckon if CH wanted him he would have to sell. Looks like we will lose out on this one and that would be a pity. Just the sort of player we should get in January for a good push in the 2011-1012 season.

Gosling ‘can play on the wing’, he’s a CM first up!..
    & anderson, why?..
He’s a failure at manure, that is patently obvious…Not sayin’ he can’t turn it ’round, he’s young, but no thanx, we ain’t the place for waitin’ around to see if he can make it, for millions…

His main position is CM. May be he can play at the wing to make ends meet.

If Anderson is not going to come cheap then i will wash my hands of him and try HAZARD. Imagine 5 man midfield of

Ben Arfa – Hazard – Gutierez
    Barton – Tiote

Yep, Gosling is a CM, box-to-box, similar to Barton.

He can play on the right wing and right back but he’s a stopgap only there.

When he has played for Man United he has played the Holding Mid role with Michael Carrick,Which doesnt suit his style at all ! Hes more the free role behind the striker !

Doubt Ashley would splash the cash on him, and all I’ve seen of Anderson is him failing to shoot and the ball ending up in row Z.

That said, I don’t think it could hurt to get him on a loan until the end of the season with a view to buy for 6-8m. That way he acts as cover for Ben Arfa and we can see if he gels with the squad firstly and then how he works alongside Benny when he returns from injury.

If we have money, we should spend it on making the Ben Arfa deal permanent, but a loan to buy for Anderson would be a nice backup if that falls through come the end of the season.

You can forget anyone with a five mill. price tag or over, Ashley aint gonna pay that kinda dosh for anyone, that should be clear to everyone by now.
Free agents and youngsters on the verge of breaking into the big time, those are his targets.
But having just read Nolans rap about a solid NUFC
(read boring BSA type football) it`s nice to see that CH is interested in a bit of flair (BA& Anderson)
Sure it`s nice to get a win, but at the cost of watching big slow guys hoofing the ball up into the oppositions box and scoring mostly from set pieces, no thanks !
And I believe the fans at this club are knowledgable enough and want a bit of entertainment, after all thats why the go to matches.
Perhaps Kevin might like a return to Lancashire where BSA is playing the game he is advocating,
Cause we got rid of BSA for playing that kinda game and dont want him back.

Ashley sighned a contract at the beggining of the season for Ben Arfa that is going to cost him 7mill at the end of the season.
Im not a massive fan off Ashley but you have to give him credit where its due, he is starting to run the club properly now.

Based on his current position and morale with Manchester United I believe he will want to leave in a heartbeat. Ferguson just has no place for him, so for us to sign him that would be a massive tremendous coup. He is a very skillful player and a dangerous attacker who can terrorize defenders easily. Only problem is that is the price right?

Anderson attitude problems? You’re thinking of someone else. The only problem he has is frequent injuries. By the way, I’d guess this is just a rumour. Man u, remember, have two 50 year olds playing regularly (3 if u consider goalie). They can’t play forever
