Mike Ashley Has No Idea What He’s Just Done

We wonder if Mike Ashley knows just what a terrible and shameful decision he has made today in sacking Chris Hughton.

Mike Ashley – hasn’t got a clue what makes Newcastle fans ticknever will

Chris was a gentleman, and so well liked by Newcastle fans as he brought back to Tyneside, the Geordie  passion we haven’t seen since the great Bobby Robson was doing his stuff on Tyneside.

If we had to hazard a guess we’d say Mike didn’t have a clue there would be this very strong and even hostile reaction from Newcastle fans, because he simply doesn’t understand what makes Newcastle fans tick.

He knows nothing of the pride that is Newcastle United and he has once again shamed this club, and we are being accused of being stupid in the press – again – it’s his 5th manager in just 42 months on Tyneside – so much for stability

After all we’ll always be remembered as the club who had the audacity and stupidity to fire our very own – Bobby Robson.

Mike appears to have absolutely no clue and no idea what it takes to run a football club, and today he wants a more experienced manager to manage the club.

Chris brought the club up with 102 points last season, and we are now 11th in the Premier League  – higher than we expected to be – but hey Chris has no experience – screw the results he ha achieved in a short 16 months in management.

And what’s even more true is that Newcastle fans want more experience from a Newcastle owner – and Ashley just doesn’t fit the bill – and quite honestly – he never will.

That’s the inconvenient and extremely painful truth for Newcastle fans everywhere.

Perhaps this is a Randy Lerner-Martin O’Neill-type scenario? CH wanted promises of investment in the team and a decent salary and MA didn’t like the sound of it. Watch us get somebody cheap now. I say this half in jest, but Joe Kinnear is apparently well again. Failing that, Alan Pardew or Alan Curbishley. They’d be happy just to get a job.

    Dear Mike,

I know you will never read this letter but feel it is necessary to put in writing how we the fans feel about your latest calamitous decision. Chris Hughton was not only a fantastic man manager with an eye for a great signing but a true gentleman and I hope in future Newcastle manager’s offices there hangs a photo of Chris celebrating during the 5-1 win over Sunderland right next to the one of Sir Bobby Robson. Chris did just as much if not more for this club as Sir Bobby in the process saving you millions.

Yet we’ve been in this situation before, you forced Kevin Keegan out by forcing players on him recommended by your drinking buddy Dennis Wise. We expressed our horror and you supposedly listened but now 26 months later we’re back to square 1. You treated another local hero Alan Shearer with utter contempt when he couldn’t clean up the mess that was entirely of your fault. Lets not even mention the @St James farce, how you ever became a millionaire is beyond me. You make successive incompetent decisions and deserve to suffer for once, instead of us the paying punters.

Where to now Mike? Yet again we’re the laughing stock of the country at no fault of our own, sold out again. Alan Pardew? Alan Curbishley? That would suit you nicely, yes men ready to take us back to the despairs of the Championship. Then when you go looking for another “Chris Hughton shaped” miracle, you won’t find him. Who would work for you in these conditions, maybe a one of your spotty faced Sports Direct teenagers? It wouldn’t surprise me.

The players, what decent footballer will want to play under a manager who on average will last 8 months. Say goodbye to HBA signing permanently, Tiote, Carroll and Enrique will be gone in the summer and we’ll be the ones to suffer the consequences. The problem is we were beginning to forgive you, like a girlfriend we hesitantly take back but embrace when life becomes better only to find out you haven’t changed but have been cheating all along.

In conclusion you and your trusty sidekick Llambias, have single handedly ruined any optimism that may have been building around our great city. You do not deserve to be associated with our city, club or community. We may be dedicated but we’re not stupid, we will not continue to line your pockets while you embarrass us on a regular basis. Please leave as soon as possible and don’t forget to close the door on the way out.

    Signed Any Newcastle United Fan

Ed, where’s that great photo of Ashley on the training ground rubbing his greasy, little hands and looking at Hughton’s back deciding where to stab?

I think that sums the moment up perfectly

Ha ha ha ha ha ha haha… laughing stock. I knew he wanted to sack Hoots but I wrote yesterday it would not be for a few more weeks. Hoots does not merit the sack. The fat man gave him no support and no cash and expected us to be top six. Joke club which I now support. We will be relegated again because of this fat twat and we deserve it. Who is lined up? Allegedly Alan Pardew. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Are we supposed to get behind him. For once in your life Ed Harrison get out of the crevice between the owner’s buttocks and call it as it is. This man is intent on devastating this club. We need a campaign to get him out. You should be leading it instead of blowing sunshine up his nether parts. If that means boycotting the club then so be it. Ed, so Hoots is going nowhere is he? And we are going in the right direction are we? You’ll call it right one of these days on the laws of probability. And another thing, the fat man has not got it mostly right these last 18 months. He has got it terribly wrong. Pull your head out of his hole.

How are raw English coaches going to get there chance, when quite clearly, CH thoroughly deserves.

He has taken this club from the brink of implosion to a “near” entertaining team again, on our day, with a full fit team – i believe we can beat anyone in this league.

So what about the West Brom result? I knew when we won promotion that this season was going to be a yo-yo. But i give credit when it is due, and CH certainly deserves credit for how far he has brought us in such a short time.

Thank you CH and good luck, you will be missed.

I already said yesterday that Hughton is on the brink of being sacked.

He has done a lot of good, but the 5-1 thrubbing by Bolton, and 3-1 by West Brom has not gone unnoticed.

Hughton needed an ASSISTANT to aid in tactical decisions. He is a good man manager, but is terrible tactically and at substitutions.

I think Ashley already has a manager lined up, but I don’t think it will be Pardew, at least hopefully not. The man is terrible.

Becoming a millionaire: have no morals, or scruples, have a total disregard for anyone in your pursuit of money, use slave labour to produce goods for pennies and sell them for pounds.

    It’s easy.

Martin O’Neill is a far better manager than Hughton, and will save the club from relegation if he is put in.

i seem to recall everyone having a fit about allowing Hoots to take control of the club and not getting an experienced mgr 18 odd mos ago…don’t deny it, i did it as well. Hoots proved his worth to all…well almost all it appears. Maybe he did want more than MA would give…maybe MA wants to push forward faster than Hoots is comfortable with? At this point it doens’t matter…does it? if it was going to happen, better now prior to the transfer window opening and whomever is coming in can have a decent look at the squad. Steve McLaren anyone???

Hughton got nothing but results at NUFC. He won’t be unemployed for long. It’s a shame that such a class guy and fantastic representative of the club had to be done in by a completely classless and clueless man like Ashley. And the worst part is, is that the completely classless man is the one we are left with.

My guess is Ashley has a buyer and the buyer wanted rid of Hughton and got Ashley to do the dirty work for him. Ashley sees the value of the club slipping a little and takes the bait.I have been on this blog many times and said that Ashley seems to have changed for the better. He clearly has not. The fans will definitely not have Pardew, a serial failure. Peter Beardsley is inexperienced, so Ashley if he is not selling could hardly have him ,though the Geordie faithful probably would.
When will the idiot boards of this club ever come to realise they have created a poison chalice with the managers position. Only the desperate or bad will want to come here. This club needs stability. For just over 12 months we have had it. Don’t worry Chris, it won’t be long before you find another job on a far better salary than that pratt Ashley paid you. Go Mr Ashley NOW and take Lambias with you. This club will be well rid of you and your dreadful type, and please, if you are selling may it not be to that idiot Shepherd who got rid of the best manager we had in years.

I just read the news and I am very disappointed. I cant understand the logic. He is going to have to pay the new ‘experienced’ manager a couple of mill a season and it is disgusting to think Chris worked so hard and put his heart and sould into the club and got paid so little and discarded like xmas present wrapping.

On the positive side I think we have enough decent players and if we can get someone like Martin O’neill in, who is also an excellent man manager, we could do alright.

The only thing I can see this doing is causing more money to be spent on players, back room staff and managers……that’s not usually Mike Ashleys MO so maybe just maybe he honestly thinks Chris was not going to get the job done.

As far as betting goes I’d think our odds for gettng relegated just got slashed

Ok right we need to get him out ASP. And this is how we can do this hit it were it hurts him most his pocket by not going to watch [1] Newcastle utd play [2] do not buy any thing from the club shop or web site and [3] not to buy any thing from his sports direct shop or web site. If you don’t know Mike Ashley brought NUFC to make money out of them but no 1 buys a football club to make money out them but a true owner and local man as in Sir Freddie Shepherd who owned the club before Ashley.

The club was unfortunately sold over Sir Freddie when he was in hospital with pneumonia and this how Ashley got his hands on it.I could not understand why Chris Hughton was not given a new contract after such a great job he has done for the club now I know and we all us fans now why.He could of and should been along side the other two great manger’s we have had at the club in recent years such as the late great Sir Booby Robson and Kevin Keegan.

But not know as cuss of Ashley if we wan’t our club to stay in the top flight of English football then this man has to go for our better future at our club this is why we need to do this together and not alone move as a team like the football players at our club you know in Germany the fans out there football teams my be this is some thing we need do with our club I hope we can do this as a team of real true fans that show and care for such a good club as ours.

All so Sir Freddy try to buy the football club back off Ashley when the the club was in the championship but Ashley wanted to much money for the club.
