Odds On Pardew Shorten to 8/15 – Jol Drifts Back to 3-1

There is some  bad news tonight because on Skybet Alan Pardew has shortened to 8/15 on, and Martin Jol is now 3-1.

Alan Pardew – this would be a surprising choice by Newcastle

We just cannot believe that Newcastle would appoint Alan Pardew as Newcastle manager, after sacking Chris Hughton.

Can somebody explain to us what Alan Pardew has done in football management that even remotely qualifies him for the Newcastle job?

We’re sorry, but this would be on pathetic appointment by Newcastle United – we are hoping this is just not true.

He wasn’t good enough for Southampton or Charlton Athletic – never mind Newcastle

But maybe there was talk with Pardew before Hughton was actually given the boot,  to ensure that somebody was available to take over within the week.

If it is Pardew, it will hardly be a popular appointment with Newcastle fans – that’s for sure.

Alan has a meager 4 votes out of 237 cast so far in our poll between the three managers supposedly being interviewed by Newcastle, and Jol has 189 – so far.

We’d give Alan Pardew 12 months at Newcastle  at most if he’s appointed – but hope Mike Ashley doesn’t make a second terrible mistake this week.

Mike’s  already made far too many mistakes  in his tenure on Tyneside – will he never learn?

Comments welcome.

Pardew in at this club makes me believe we’re going down and that’s all there is to it.

it hasn’t been made official which 3 people were interviewed today by anyone.

The 3 people believed to be interviewed were

    Martin Jol
    Alan Pardew
    Alan Curbishly

however if the stories about Jol are true then he never even considered the job and certainly wouldn’t go for an interview.

This means that either the stories about Jol are false and he’s still in contention, or another person was interviewed for the job

This person could be Oneill (remember he hasnt ruled himself out) and i personally would be happy with him and Pardew may simply be as someone said before, a smokescreen to make way for another manager

Which means not all hope is lost!! 😀

“somebody was available to take over within the week?”

I think this post do suit Alan Shearer. I would be very very very happy to see him back even for just a week.

He can do good things in just a week. This is half a step forward.

    Not this Pardew.

Does Mike really just SACK CH without knowing who is coming in ???

He doesnt have any idea you mean???

I really dnt understand MA. CH is not doing too well from current form but to sack CH and not know who is qualified for the role is ridiculous.

    I hope i’m wrong.

Just pray hard that this is not same MA that bring the club down.

Time will tell. I dnt think it will be too soon before the new manager comes in.

Its always MA style to play the waiting game.

If is a lousy manager with no credit, then i hope fans that goes to the stadium will call MA / or the New Manger OUT.

We can to move forward. In baby steps we are happy still BUT no more backwards.

Team like blackburn, fullham and even WBA are playing or getting the club forward with managers or such.

With the Martins we can move forward. Even if they dont do as well as CH.

Given time, we will see the club going forward. Just like Villa and Spurs.

But Not with the two Alans’.

If Ashley really does want someone experienced I would hope that the interviews are a formality because he’s already been through the mess of appointing a new manager. I think even a fat like him will have learned from the shearer/kinnear/hughton/keegan saga that sent the club down.

any one surprised by it if this does happen. MA is rotten to the core. MON wont have the money he wants , although rumours on web saying new manager will have £20 m to spend. Pardew with £20 m is a scary thought as shite as JK was two seasons ago

One step forward… Three steps back!!!

The boat was steady, the crew were happy. Good weather ahead.

Now it’s gonna be, “men overboard”. Here comes the storm!

Only a better manager will suffice.

At the moment, i feel that all the great work CH has done has been a total waste of time.

I thought it would be odd if Jol took Hughton’s job after the way he’s been treated by Ashley. He was my choice. Don’t want Pardew or Curbishley. Would take O’Neill regrettably…

Looks like a backwards step or a sideways one at best unfortunately.

AHA, got it, maybe ASH and LAMBO aren`t as stupid as we think. They pile money on Pards with Jol in on the plan. Jol drifts in the betting while prikewew hardens(SORRY BAD ANALOGY) They then pile even more on Jol @3/1. Make a fortune when they announce Jol as the new manager and we are relieved and eternally grateful, narrow escape. Job done, brilliant!
