The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

AND PLEASE PLEASE CONSIDER, IF HE DOES GO, THE NEXT OWNER COULD BE MUCH MUCH WORSE .. IE, GLAZERS AT MAN U – THEY TRIED TO GET RID OF THEM AND HAVE FAILED …. Comment #7Team Against Birmingham:
Carroll
Lovenkrands Routledge
Nolan
Tiote Barton
Bull Collo Willi Simps
Krul
The reason that i would drop Gutierrez is that he has been under performing a lot and maybe if Pardew shows he is not afraid to drop him because of that, it might make him pull his finger out and contribute a little more.
Would definately like to see a bit of pace on the wings, hence lovenkrands and routledge being brought in. let barton play right centre mid because he can run up the right a bit, and ping in a few crosses if the delivery is poor from routledge/simpson.
If routledge or lovenkrands are not doing to well, bring on ranger and go to 4-4-2 with routledge or lovenkrands dropping to midfield.
Hopefully we can bring the game to them and hit them hard and fast as we did today. and hopefully the inclusion of Collo and Willi, will cancel out any sloppy defensive errors. which in turn, will hopefully stop stupid goals to be conceded.
Welcome to Newcastle Pardew. wish you all the best. Goodbye Hughton, you left under unfortunate circumstances and i wish you all the best also.
hopefully get another 4-6 points this month, more will do nicely also. HWTL!

Comment #8daffy – what you on?
We sure as h**l didn’t play a crap liverpool team, lokk at the starting 11… If we were to allow them play their game, they would have outplayed us. Newcastle put in a team effort like I’ve not seen since, well.. actually not that long ago, but we’ve got ups and downs. as I’ve said before, I think CH was a great man managment person, but lacking tactics.. Nolan stands out as a true captain getting everyone worked up for this game. Lets hope he and AP can get the lads as worked up next match.
Individual quality never outplays a teamwork.
great to see the notebook working as AP was. That’s one thing I’ve been missing with CH, the constant tactics discussion and thinking on the side of pitch. Really looks to me as AP has his heart in doing everything right, he most definately has so far…
As to MA… TOONPIPES – agree!

Comment #10Just got back from the match which was thoroughbly enjoyable.
Joey and Tiote were top class today and Carroll gave one of the best displays of centre forward play ive seen since Shearer retired.
If all the people on here who were going to boycott the game did so………..how come there was 50,ooo there?? So well done all those giving me sh!t on here the other day. I assume they were with the chavs under the milburn stand before the game.
I do realise Ashley takes up 2 seats though.
I thought Pardew made good subs and was right to let Joey come off early to get his ovation.
If only Jonas had not waited 70 minutes before he started playing we could have taken them to bits. Horrible niggly diving scousers.
Dont get me started on the ref Lee Mason was a disgrace today gave some shocking freekicks to them and how Maxi (i think) didnt get booked for simulation in the first half I will never no.
Wll done lads no lets hope Pardew can get them to keep some momentum.

Comment #11Nice one norwegian geordie .. if we continue to just give MA s hit .. he will go and if he goes i dread to think what could happen as there is no cash around and people not that interested in investing .. if they did buy, we should expect even more stringent cost cutting than MA implements .. we should appreciate fact that he is a gambler and prepared to spend cash .. look at liverpool they have been taken over by an even wealthier individual and they do not have any cash to spend .. we shud get behind him .. i think things are looking good ..

Comment #13daffy – the league isn’t justifying any teams this season. We’re 4 points of 5th place, so are liverpool.
Andy Carrol and Ranger tore the defence apart.. Our defence wasn’t the best today, but Torres hasn’t got his head with him these days…
I just can’t see any way NUFC could have done this any better. Whether this was for Chris, the fans, the owner or Alan. The one thing I read out of this game is commitment. You can see it all over the pitch. I think even Jonas put in a decent effort today, Not to good offensive, but put in good help defensively.
daffy – NUFC supporter or what?

Comment #14Nice to see that the team players NOT for Pardew but for US, the fans. This it what todays proformance was about, plus it helpted having Barton back he was simply unplayable and i HOPE i hope that Ranger has done enough to put food for thought about maybe a starting role in the team, HE was a big reason we got the win 🙂

Comment #15If only we were able to perform as we played Liverpool game week in week out, we might winning more games than lose. MA may stay if he wants but please show the Toon army that he really care, like Chrissy did to the team, by keep on pumping his money to build a better the team for the future. Chrissy have done his part really really good & managed to build the solid foundation thus stabilised the team. He has actually found the winning formula but was left exposed on borrowed time while he was seeking that elusive consistency in team performance & result-wise.
Atm, the jury is still out on Pardew. Sure, he’ll get his chance to steer the ship. I believe the Toon & players are right behind him for the club’s sake. Here wishing he can deliver then & prove to us that he is the man for the job.

Comment #18This is how I saw things today from infront of my tele here in ireland ….
Good performance by all toon players, campbell did get caught out a few times and needs to e on the bench as an ‘option’ – I would not however say that colo is ahead of williamson in the pecking order.
eventhough pardew was on the sideline, I dont think he has been in the job long enough to actually influence the players performance to the extend of what we saw today.
He did make an inspired sub(or was it, shola looked knackered so it was more of a ‘had to’ than a ‘want to’ sub)
what made my blood boil was to see the twat of an owner in the stand grinning, smiling, rubbing his hands and patting himself on the back.
Good job by the playing/management staff and the supports …
… but I still hate(do not trust) Ashley, if our current manager were to take us to 5th / 6th will he then get the sack because we need a ‘champions league experieced’ manager

Toonpipes, well said, totally agree, i said the same earlier on the blog and got proper slated, I think people need to realise that MA isnt going, he has us finacially sound, unlike alot of prem clubs, and as much as i liked hoots, was he the man to keep us up? i am not so sure. so only time will tell.

Comment #20very impressed with pardew, he speaks well, speaks a lot of sense, has maintained his praise towards hughton which for a new manager to have to keep refering to him must be hard. CH did a fantastic job, last season was for me up there with the keegan years and robson in terms of proudness towards the players and the feel good factor around the club, but it really is time to move on for the benefit of the season. Pardew has obviously got something about him, its no fluke to take a promoted side to 7th in the league and an fa cup final, then to have an amazing year at southampton doing very well taking into consideration the points deduction they had, he won a trophy there too.
so from one gentlemen in hughton, to seemingly another in pardew, great result tonight, but lets not as we typically do, get too carried away with the good times, and disheartened with the bad times.

Comment #28toonpipes: firstly – Mike Ahsley appointed people who made those decisions. He hired scouts, and managers, it’s not HIM that found Tiote or Bassong, etc.
Secondly, he has yet to really release the funds to replace the players we lost in the relegation season – albeit many of which were mercenaries,, though to call martins a ‘twat’ is a bit childish. Seems like he always out his heart into playing for us, from what I saw.
The fact those squad shirts were never really filled – or were done so on absolute peanuts, and we have still improved says more about Hughton , and the collective solidarity of the players.
As has been said, success has been achieved despite Ashley – not because of him.
