Catastrophe Bringing Pardew And Players Together

We all remember with horror what happened after Kevin Keegan left the club and that’s got to be one of the worst times in the Newcastle club’s history.

But the majority of the players at the club, went through that hell, and they are better off for it this time around when owner Mike Ashley has made his latest horrific blunder at the club.

We said last week that a lot of this will rest on the senior players at the club, who we knew just loved Chrsi Hughton, and what their reaction was to a difficult situation for them.

After all Mike Ashley pays their wages.

But players like Kevin Nolan and Joey Barton seem not to have said the right things,  but also have done the right things by their actions.

The players had a good meeting with Alan Pardew on Friday morning, and then had a good training session – and in addition Alan Pardew played his part as an understanding manager who came into the fire of Newcastle last week, and handled himself almost perfectly.

And the win against Liverpool was not just what we all needed, but it could put the lads on the right track to quickly recover from the Chris Hughton firing, and start to move the club forward.

Both the captain and the new manager have given the fans a mantra to follow – support the club – that’s what Newcastle United is after all – along with our fans.

The proof of the pudding is still in the eating, but this week could see an improving relationship form between the players and the manager – and then the next step will be to beat Birmingham on Saturday..

Not a draw with Birmingham on Saturday, but come away with all 3 points.

If the lads can do that – then Newcastle may be buzzing again, and much sooner than we expected last Monday.

We hope so in any case.

Howay The Lads!!

@Lew; CH 4 FSA that would be some kind of justice.

    It’s the domino effect;

Fatsam for Avram. . . and then we can see how he does in the championship!

Anyone else notice that NUFC Blog has got a bit slow & flaky since the change of management at NUFC.

    Perhaps it’s a denial of service attack by agents of Sports Direct. . . . . . .

Sorry this is off topic but how the hell can Essien get away with nearly breaking Bale’s legs yet Barton gets investigated for rude gestures. Total f…ing shamble. One rule for them in the top 4 and down south and another for the rest. More corrupt then NK and I RAN put together.

Totally agree Toon1978 at that exact point i said i bet if that were Barton it would have been a straight red. I feel sorry for him. However he does get on reasonably well with refs as i have a friend who refs championship and below and he reffed Newcastle and was asking who he had the best banter with and got on best with on the pitch and his answer was Barton.

Utter disgrace if Barton gets done. What about when Lucas pushed him…Jara from WBA first delibrately elbowed Leighton Baines then went in 2 footed he didn’t get investigated. FA is a joke

They may be the only club who can afford his hundreds of video analysts, physios and coaches.

how do we know nk and iran are corrupt when we have such corruption with our own politicians and so much propoganda in our news. those korean footballers looked alot happier and prouder than ours in the world cup.
i think maybe we could compare the big 4 to usa and their close friends(uk, israel and columbia).

we hear lies about our football club all the time so dont think that everything we hear about other nations is true as it is often not.

Durhammag: Can you just stop & think for a moment? MA is one of the richest men around & does not need to sell players to keep the team afloat. He knows the only way to make money with the team is in the PL. So why would he sell two of his best players? It would be asking for relegation. I myself cannot think of a more promising star than Andy Carroll and Jose has mostly been a rock at his position with virtually no one as his back-up. MA has a vision of building a winner and then selling on those being pushed out by up and coming stars. This is the Olympic Lyon model. Heck, just like OL, he has introduced a line of wines and Champagne. So qwell those nasty rumors, and if you are going to consider them think about which teams have the ready cash to purchase such stars (one would not be the Spurs).

it has been suggested that is the reason for Hughton getting the sack. Apparently it was a “sell them over my dead body” statement from CH, to which FMA said fine…..

Ashley has a habit of pulling bizarre rabbits out of hats

The Spurs link isn’t beyond the realms of possibility…they must be making money outta the CL and could possibly get a favourable draw in the next round and after that it’s the quarters. Crucially both players aren’t cup-tied either… I would be more concerned about losing Enrique as he could see playing CL football as his best way of getting into the Spanish squad. Redknapp is normally good at squeezing out money from the various clubs he’s worked for in the past. I reckon if we get into a reasonably safe position come Jan/Feb Ashley might well look at taking that sort of offer.

i dont want to fill up too space on a football blog talking about politics so that is it for now but i trhink that we have all got a better look at how the incredibly wealthy work from what we have seen from the fat bloke up top apart from he is a bit more obvious than others who spend millions on their image and public relations.

DormAnt, have to agree with BeeGuy, Ashley want’s to sell and he’ll get more of a return If we are, rather than bottom half of the table, in Europe. Maybe not this season but one or two after that. But to do that, he will have to keep the foundations of the team.
