What has become even clearer this last week, in all the upheaval we have seen over the last 9 days, is that Newcastle are 100% focused on bringing the youngsters through on Tyneside.
Top prospect Haris Vuckic at Newcastle
If there was any doubt about that, it has been clear what Alan Pardew has been saying since he arrived, that bringing the young talent through is one of his big jobs on Tyneside – as well as getting Newcastle a win in the Premier League every week, of course.
Pardew spoke with the Evening Chronicle today about the Newcastle youngsters:
“It is for me to assess when I think they will be ready.” “I have not had too much of a chance to see them yet.”
“We have good players here already, and they are good players that the youngsters have to get past.”
“You will have to be pretty exceptional to get in the team for a young player.” “But hopefully we do have one or two that can get in.”
Alan will have to become skilled in deciding which youngsters to send ou ton loan too, because the lads must play games to improve – obviously.
Alan will have seen very clearly that Nile ranger can do for Newcatsle, and some of our other top youngsters include Slovenian Haris Vuckic, Irish lad Shane Ferguson, Australian-born Brad Inman, Amble-born Phil Airey and Irishman Stephen Folan.
Alan will get every opportunity to see how good these young lads are very soon, and start to bring them through to the first team at Newcastle.
The youngsters we have at the moment seem top class, as they proved a few times in the Carling Cup this season.
