Alan Pardew, the new Newcastle United manager, will have his work cut out to man-manage a number of the Newcastle players.
Andy Carroll – budding star striker on Tyneside
And probably the most exiting of them all is Andy Carroll, who has captured the imagination of not only the Newcastle fans but England fans as well, as the 21 year-old has made the step up to the Premier League this season with apparent ease.
Andy already has 10 Premier League goals this season and has scored a goal in each of the last four games.
And as far as Andy’s past problems are concerned, Pardew thinks that the striker has made some mistakes but has learned from them.
This is what Alan said today:
“Andy’s a terrific lad with a big future in front of him. It’ll be a case of him at times making mistakes and admitting to that and learning from them.”
” And to be fair to him he seems to have done that over this first half of the season. The example for everybody here of course is the attitude of the senior players.”
“If I can get that among all of them they we will have a good chance of having a good season.”
It’s clear that the Newcastle senior players have a huge job in front of them in the next couple of months, to ensure the club is stable, and the team keeps winning games.
The last thing we want to see is a dramatic fall into disarray, as happened a couple of years ago when Kevin Keegan left.
But over these last 9 days or so it looks quite bright, as both the Newcastle players and the new manager Alan Pardew have handled themselves exceptionally well, and that’s to their enormous credit.
That should help the Newcastle side to keep picking up those points, so we can survive in the PL this season, and hopefully the lads can get another 3 points today at Birmingham, and that will certainly help.
