Ben Arfa – My Responsibility Is To Newcastle United

For all those Newcastle fans who were wondering what Ben Arfa thought about the sacking of Chris Hughton, there is news in the Journal today from his amicable agent Simon Stainrod.

Ben Arfa – my responsibility is to Newcastle United

Things have changed significantly in the last two weeks of course on Tyneside, with the shock sacking of Chris Hughton, followed by the rather unpopular announcement that Alan Pardew was the new manager some four days later.

However, there’s no doubt that  Ben Arfa was shocked at the firing of th very popular Hughton,  and we have to hope that some of the senior players, maybe Kevin Nolan, contacted the Frenchman to tell him what the reaction was in the dressing room, and that the lads were going to press on, and not use it as any excuse.

But it seems that Ben Arfa knows quite a bit about Alan Pardew, and thinks he has a good reputation as a coach, and the news today from his agent is that he cannot wait to return to Newcastle to work with Alan.

Well that’s got to be good news, and there’s even more good news because it seem Alan has already had discussions on the phone with Ben Arfa, and the Frenchman seems to have liked what he heard from the new Newcastle manager.

And it appears that Alan Pardew see the Frenchman playing in central midfield when he returns- so that’s also very interesting.

This is what his agent Stainrod said about the Hughton firing and how Ben Arfa took it:

“Hatem was a little bit upset by what happened with Chris and  while it sounds harsh, football is football and his responsibility is with Newcastle United,”

“You have to be professional and he can’t wait to start working with Alan.”

“He’s got a good reputation as a coach and even though he’s someone different, you get used to that in football.”

It would have been interesting to hear the discussion between Pardew and Ben Arda, since both of them seem to wax lyrical about the Newcastle United club.

But this news today seems to suggest that Ben Arfa is still as committed as ever to Newcastle United – and that has to bring some Christmas cheer to Newcastle supporters every where.

Howay The Lads!!

only thing is gosling aint a winger he’s not quick enough he says he preferes centre midfield but to be quite honest a dont see him fitting into centre mid unless someones injured, so a guess he’l hav to adapt nd get himself trained by usain bolt

I think gutierez really needs to step up his game a bit, his crossing has been terrible and he seems to just run down blind alleys. He needs to get the form back that we have seen previously which i think could happen if him HBA and barton were all playing as it would create the opportunity for them to mix it up a bit with them swapping sides etc.

i would personally sell gutierrez back to spain as he seriously cannot hack the premier league sure we could get about £4 or £5million for him maybe more we could use that and sign Kranjcar on loan and Jarvis permanently then we will hav such a midfield when GeordieArfa is back, only thing is it says Arfas guna be playing centre mid whos guna be dropped lol ? unless wer reverting back to nolan centre with tiote barton on right jonas on left arfa just off carroll

When Ben Afa is back, then Jonas goes to the Bench

Problem now with Jonas is we dont have any quality left winger, so Jonas is an automatic selection (even his performance not that good)

we could put jonas on the right and ben arfa on the left which would hopefully stop him cutting in and just running into players.
That would then put barton back into the center where i think he prefers but he has been brilliant on the right so far. All our creativity has came through Barton this season, cant wait to have HBA back and Gosling fit so we have players we can rotate cause the likes of guthrie and smith just arent good enough imo.

staffy…you’re close…but actually I”LL be playing in goal…my quickness isn’t what it used to be, but i make up for it by having poor depth perception on set plays.

I’m in talks with MA and AP now…trying to get them to come down in salary.
