Mancini Wants Andy Carroll – That’s Hardly Surprising

Roberto Mancini saw his Manchester City defense manhandled by a young 21 year-old rather old fashioned center forward yesterday afternoon at St. James’ Park.

Andy Carroll – another inspired performance by the Newcastle number 9

Andy won most balls in the air against the costly assembled team of an Arab Billionaire yesterday afternoon, and is even improving on the ground as he showed with some very deft skill at times.

Joleon Lescott had the unenviable task of trying to contain the 6’3″ Gateshead-born striker – and his strategy was plain to see – foul Andy at every opportunity possible, and quite honestly Joleon was lucky to escape being sent off with two yellow cards.

In short, Andy put in another inspired performance in the very famous number nine shirt of Newcastle, and it’s not only Newcastle fans but England fans too who will be delighted with what they see in Andrew Carroll.

It’s small wonder that Man City manager is saying this morning that he would like to sign Andy Carroll, on the form Andy has been showing of late – who wouldn’t?

The Daily Mail is reporting that Roberto Mancini has said he would like to sign Andy Carroll, but the Manchester City’s manager doesn’t believe Newcastle United will sell their star striker next month.

And this is what Roberto Mancini told Italian reporters today:

“Carroll is a good player.” ‘He’s young, he’s strong, he’s very good. But I don’t think that Newcastle want to sell.”

You can probably add the other big clubs in England to that list, and they would be only too happy to take Andy off Newcastle’s hands, but Andy is crucial to the future of the club, and we think Mike Ashley isn’t daft enough to sell Andy.

We hope Mike Ashley is not daft enough to sell Andy. 😀

It’s a little scary to say this, but it even looks like big Andy is continuing to improve with performances like yesterday’s being full of skill and vigor.

And the lad certainly seems to be inspired in that famous number 9 jersey of Newcastle.

Howay The Lads!!

we cant even get a ton of money and a player in part exchange as even their worst players will be on stupid contracts.
dont think ashley will sell him in january but who knows what will happen come july.
if ashley comes out himself and says that he wont be sold then i think everyone would feel a bit happier and less hate towards him.

Mancini can eff off…. If he buys Carroll he will ruin him by parking him on the bench and using him for cup games, why is it I hate man city so much, they are no good for football and the sooner there owners get bored and take off the better
