Tweet Tweet – Not Any More – New Rules By Pardew

The Newcastle manager Alan Pardew didn’t realize that defender Jose Enrique had tweeted the fact that he would not play at Tottenham, a full four hours before the game started yesterday.

Jose Enrique – no more tweets about injuries

The news last night was that Jose wrote in his broken English  “we decide is better don’t play.”

We wonder if Jose is continuing to take English lessons?

And when Alan Pardew was told about the incident during an interview after the game, he said the following:

“Did he tweet it, did he?” . “Players can’t be giving that sort of information out.”

“It’s difficult to police and we need to make it as a club policy that it has to stop.” “I’ll check his tweet.”

So that’s what happened and we saw that news last night, but of course the gossip press are bringing out headlines like Pardew angry at Enrique and the like.

An opportunity for them to unsettle the Newcastle club again, which they of course delight in doing as often as they can.

But it’s something the players shouldn’t do, and we expect that now to be a club policy – as Alan has said – it’s as easy as that.

We cannot let anything like this disrupt the team spirit among the lads, and with their manager.

Team spirirt is the one thing that Newcastle have in abundance, and it can be the life-saver for the side this season.

Howay The Lads!!

Brutooon, so is one suggesting if he stayed off the pies for a while there would be no need to remove him? 😀

They don’t have to stop tweeting, just not talk about tactics (or lack of) etc before a game.

You can bet Mike will ensure there will be lots of pies – but there will be no meat or gravy in them!

I heard he turns into a lizard & eats babies, but I think it’s only when the moon is full, and that could be just an unfounded rumour . . .

at least Pardew is going about trying to keep the team spirit up and being honest to the fans. He got the backing of the fat man (but so did Hughton as well, so I guess that means nowt) but he’s not done anything bad yet. This is quite fair that the players shouldn’t tweet inappropriate things, like Enrique did. Let him off, cos this is the first time he’s done it, but even though I am still very angry with the fat controller, I think at least Pardew is being honest and seems to be his own man, not Cashley’s puppet. HWTL!

The problem with this twit bollocks is that it gives the opponents the advantage, in knowing how to set-up their team, looks like it worked too
