Newcastle Ben Arfa Signing – Announced Tomorrow?

Since the transfer window opens tomorrow, we wonder if Newcastle will announce they have signed brilliant French International midfielder, Ben Arfa?

Hatem Ben Arfa – one terrific player

That would be great, and we are only half joking as  that may indeed happen.

We were watching Sky Sports last night and they’ve already started that massive massive hype they seem to generate in the transfer windows, for their own good – of course –  and they were putting up players that could be signed by the various clubs next month.

And up pops Hatem Ben Arfa and the word was that  Newcastle were keen to sign the Frenchman.

And the reporter then said the news from the Ben Arfa camp was that they would welcome that, and that Ben Arfa just loved it at Newcastle.

Well, that sounds good, and even though there are words about Liverpool being interested, we think Ben Arfa decided last summer that he wanted to sign for the famous Newcastle United club, and nothing since then has changed that.

Indeed, when Chris Hughton was sacked, Ben Arfa said he was very sad and shocked about it all, but that his commitment was to the Newcastle United Club.

In other words, I still want to sign for Newcastle, even though Chris has gone.

While anything is possible in this world,  we have to think it’s almost a certainty that Ben Arfa will sign for Newcastle next month – and that he will be one terrific signing for the club.

And if that happens Newcastle will have conducted themselves almost perfectly throughout the Ben Arfa saga, and seemingly have got themselves an absolute bargain too.

It’s always good to get a top top player, but when the lad says he only wants to play for Newcastle, that’s really something special.

We will also be coming out with our monthly report on the Frenchman early next month,  to ensure the lad knows Newcastle fans haven’t forgot him during his long slog back to full fitness.

And maybe he will be a Newcastle player by then.

Comments welcome.

‘David Beckham could sign for a Premier League side as early as next week with the 35-year-old midfielder eager to return to top-level action and his current club LA Galaxy likely to grant him permission to go out on loan within the next 48 hour’

    would we take him?
    would he come to us?
    what you all think?

Ed, words fail me.  How do you know he’s a top top player as you put it? Would mezzi be described by you as a ‘top top…..top’ player then? You’ve decided he’s the next big thing on the strength of four decent games and one great goal. I’ll bet my balls you haven’t seen a single minute of any game he played prior to joining Newcastle, or as you excruciatingly put it ‘the famous Newcastle club’ (as though you’re applying some third person journalistic observation to your dull scribe). Just call it Newcastle Ed, we don’t need any pathetic attempts by an american Geordie to build up regional pride.
If you take the time to research instead of scrolling through newsnow.co.uk every hour of the day, you’d actually learn that he’s had disciplinary problems in the past and his FLA rating based upon midfield attributes, scored on performance, was very average. I hope he is a great signing, but it irritates me that you put him on a pedestal before he’s proven himself at our ‘famous club’.

If Benny signs, then that might just encourage other Marseille players to join, Andre Ayew anyone?

Nuttyward- under normal circumstances I’d never subject myself to discourse with a retard. In this case however I feel it holds some merit for the neutral reader.  Your line of reasoning appears to be that Ed posts the headlines so that fans may come together to discuss them. On it’s own, that sounds reasonable, but that alone is not what we have here. Ed chooses to spin his own opinion, often using words like ‘we’ and ‘us’ in different contexts to imply that he is the overwhelming voice of the fans-which clearly he isn’t.

More disturbing i would argue is the idiotic implication by you, that if i don’t like it then I should f****k off.  Surely in the interests of fan-site discussion, dissenting voices should given equal opportunity to speak as those like yourself who instead choose to froth at the mouth at the first comment made against your beloved Ed, who incidentally, you don’t know and have never met.

Finally and most tragically Nuttyward,  and I mean this without attempt at irony. You actually can’t spell the word ‘Geordie’……..you total DICK

good shout magpies-till. Ayew is a class player but i cant see marseille wanting to sell him. he is still pretty young. on another note although it is only paper talk i would love a Kranjar style player. I think someone like him would be great – we need more options in midfield.

And Johm Hoy. Jesus H! This is a blog site. One persons opinions and views. Ed isn’t claiming to be an unbiased Journalist. He is a Geordie abroad with a love of the club which must be very difficult to keep in touch with from the US. If you don’t like his opinions don’t use the site.

Everton and Newcastle have been put on red alert after Sporting Lisbon agreed to sell striker Yannick Djalo – if they receive offers of just £3.5m.

HBA would be great signing for us. I have went out on a limb with friends and on this blog in saying he is Messi like… I believe it. With the right amount of games and right coaching he could be that great!!

Concerning a post about Becks on loan… hell no! Way too old and would cost us too much jack!

    All the best in 2011

    C`mon Guys !
can we get along and disagree without being either too personal or viscious, after all it`s that time of year, “Auld lang syne” n` all.
Often wondered how many people actually know what the hell they are singing.
And by the way how many can translate that into understandable English from it`s original Lowland Scot`s and is it in fact a dialect of English or a stand alone language, to compare to Erse the type of gaelic language spoken by Scot`s from the western highlands and islands ?
    Anyone care to enlighten ?
