Three Things We Want To Happen At Newcastle This Week

Before the FA Cup third round tie at Stevenage next Saturday, there are three things we’d like to see from the Newcastle club this week.

Alan Pardew – busy week this week?

1. Beat West Ham on Wednesday night

Newcastle had a good win yesterday at Wigan and a clean sheet too.
But that was the first points from three holiday games and if we can get another win at home against another fairly weak side in West Ham, that will give us 6 points in our 4 holiday games – and a good return.

2. Bring John Carver back to the club as Assistant Manager

Alan Pardew has taken on one of the tough jobs in English football in managing Newcastle United.
Alan has already got most of his coaching team in place, but John Carver returning to Newcastle would be much welcomed by Newcastle fans.
And of course John is an excellent coach and born and bred in Newcastle, and we heard yesterday that Pardew had already talked to John about the position..

3. Sign Hatem Ben Arfa on a permanent basis

It looks almost certain now that Newcatsle will sign 23 year-old Frenchman Ben Arfa.
The fee is thought to be somewhere around £5M and that would be a bargain buy for the very gifted French winger and potential central midfielder.
The midfielder is due to be in Newcastle this week, and will be at the West Ham game,  so we have to believe he will sign his contract when he’s over this week.
It would be a terrific first signing in the January transfer window for Newcastle.

Comments welcome.

Nah ben arfa wont be back till feb maybe. And i dont think we should sell ameobi but we do need another proven striker (R.Keane,Yannik Djalo or id even consider N.Bentner) but if u got rid of ameobi and bought a new 1 what if carroll or the new 1 gets injured who we got to take his place???Best,Lovenpants or Ranger i reakon ameobi better than them at this moment well proven can score.

That would be great! Absolutely perfect.

All three are vital, but specifically number one. A win against West Ham would push us into the safe catergory, not totally but get us on our way. That is the most important thing for our football club. We can’t afford to to be in a relegation fight and have a chance of going down. Not again.

I like John Carver, think he would be perfect to have assisting Pardew as he knows the club, the area, the fans and what makes it all tick. Perfect choice as a number two. Also since he has been waway from us he has gained some great experience elsewhere that could be useful to Pardew.

Ben Arfa is a signing that is a statement of intent for our fans. Bugger other people, I don’t care what they have to say, but for us, signing a player of his talent tells us the club is doing it’s most to rise up the table within it’s budget. I mean if you had to tell me two years ago we would obtain Ben Arfa for 5 million pounds I would of laughed. He was in the sights of the big boys for triple that amount. He has shown before his injury, he will be a vital part of our rise up the table. I am sceptical on Ashley as the next person is, but to me, it’s a statement of intent and should be viewed as a positive.

I also would love Robbie Keane and David Bentley to be added to our squad. Too much?

Why should we get rid our player likes Jonas and Shola. Give me good reason?

To me our player is good enough just lack some part of their game, for example Jonas and Wayne, they have their pace but lack of creativity and passing, so to me this problem can be solve if we have good manager and coach to teach them how to play well.

But in some case like our Benny, he nature talent is awesome and he can make some of our player learn about his talent, so don’t criticizes to much about our player.

My opinion, i would love Shola than OWEN, or other our old big names player, play for money no pride.

Jonas, Shola, Nolan, Smith and other lads is our best player because of they we have our pride back, they play with their heart and love their fans.

Just need some touch from our Manager and Coach.

I WOULD LOVE ROBBIE KEANE AT NEWCASTLE SIMPLY FOR HIS DRIVE AND ABILITY TO PULL DEFENDERS OUT OF POSITION.WE DONT HAVE THAT IN THE SQUAD.

BUT I DONT AGREE WITH BUYING OTHER SQUADS DIRT LIKE BENTLEY HE’S MORE INTERESTED IN HIS IMAGE THAN FOOTBALLING ABILITY.

I JUST WANT PLAYERS WHO WANT THE JERSEY.

OH YEAH, IF COLO SCORED WITH THAT HEADER IT WOULD OF BEEN A CONTENDER FOR GOAL OF THE SEASON, PITY.

It’s funny this whole Keane thing.. I don’t know why but I’ve allways had a feeling I will see Keane in Black and White.
If we can get him on modest wages – great! if not, let him go..

But we need a pacy striker to help out Carrol. Great to see some speed up there again yesterday with Loven. Allthough he’s a bit out of his game.

According to papers today Spuds want 29 million for Bentley, Keane and Kancjar. Let them rot. And Spurs can keep paying their wages until they do.
There’s better value to be had elsewhere.

sav i would offer them 15 for krancar and bentley tops, and take keane on a loan deal. spurs are known for their high pricing on players… but then again the papers are more well known for their SHITEEE.

    For me to put those 3 things in my order;
    1. Beat West Ham
    2. Sign Ben Arfa
    3. Get Carver (don’t really know him so that’s why I put that on 3rd spot)

I also hope to get Keane on loan and to have another back up LB.

It would also be nice to get rid of:
    – Xisco (different managers gave him no chance so there must be a reason for that)
    – Guthrie (overrated player; average at best)
    – Perch (bad buy by Hughton

I like those 3 items. As for bringing in new bodies, I’d expect the scouts have been deep in the Balkans to find the wings and Enrique cover NUFC needs as there is not much on offer locally that would either fill the bill or would be a crap shoot.

I’m sure Bentley would rather sit on a bench every week combing his hair than play anyway. I hate him as much as the next man for he is the epitome of the modern-day footballer.

But logically speaking, why would he go to a less “fashionable” club that is bound to pay him less and require more effort from him? Makes no sense in his books.

    Malaysia-RASHID – spot on!

milburn 77…What you’re saying then is that he has a 50% scoring rate from simple chances…That’s alright with me!

No-one is suggesting Shola is a great player, but he does a job and yesterday that job resulted in us getting 3 points. Andy Carroll probably would’ve scored the 1st header had he been fit, but he wasn’t, which is why we NEED to keep Shola!

Didn’t hear anyone complaining when he hit 2 past the scum!

Three things I would like to see happen this week…

    1. Hammer the Hammers.
    2. Tiote score his first goal on Wednesday (I’d love to see how he’d celebrate, I could imagine him just going mental haha)
    3. Sign Ben Afra, Sessegnon and Traore! (not Keane, Bentley and Beckham!)

So that when we have a fully fit squad it could look something like this…

    —————-Harper—————-
    —————————————–
    -Simpson–Tayls-Colo–Enrique-
    —————————————–
    ——————Tiote—————-
    ———Barton——-Nolan——–
    —————————————-
    -Sessegnon————–Ben Arfa-
    —————–Carroll————–

Bench; Krul, Williamson, Guthrie, Routledge, Gosling, Ranger, Traore.

Just in case of inuries; R. Taylor, Perch, Smith, Jonas, Shola and Lovenkrands.

So that we’ve got more than just a good starting 11.

how on earth is Yannick Djalo a proven striker his goal record is terrible he’s not as good as what people say and he is defo not suited to the premier league he’l end up crying off and becoming a massive flop he needs a more technical league like spain or portugal wher he is, ad say sign Bentley permanent then get Kranjcar and Keane on loan til end of season and see how they go we dnt need to sign Kranjcar straight away as we should save our money and see if we need him when Ben Arfa is back in same team because he might end up just wastin on bench like he is now

I have to agree with Faddj. Spot on.

    – I would love to see a thrashing of the Hammers.
    – Tiote needs a goal. (I wouldn’t be surprised if a few clubs put some offers in on him, like those liverpool scum!)
-Let’s get the transfer done early, so the club can get on with football.

    Good Line-up!

    Yeah, those are three positive`s.
But how`s about what you dont want to see ?
Like paying big bucks for Spurs rejects, well Kranjcar would`nt be unacceptable but Keane although a decent player, has lost a step or two and is getting long in the tooth, Bentley has never lived up to expectations and neither would come cheap.
Look buying aging stars for big bucks is a policy we have hopefully ended?
Nor do i want a winger who`s claim to fame is he can cross the ball.
Larrson looks like a good deal, similar to Beckham, he can cross from the wing, is a good deadball kicker and gets his goals, plus he can track back.
However expect both continental sides and EPL sides to be lined up for him and i can`t see Ashley competing.
Sassengon, decent player, but would like to get someone who can score, like Ginola, Robert, Nobby, etc.
As for Beckham, c`mon can you see him and his mot doon the quayside, or the big market, after Hollywood and Madrid, he wants a Landen club and Spurs would be perfect for him.
There 1s still Steve Ireland and Dunne as a solid backup CD, Ireland is still quite young and settled in with the right club, could be a great asset, whereas Dunne still has a few years and would strengthen our back line.
Actually the one player i would like to see at the club is young Coleman at Everton, think he`s got a Bale like ability and will only improve with time .
But hey what do I know ?

Sentient, don’t see what your problem is. Many kids and adults alike are just as stupid. You shouldn’t assume that just because someone makes a comment you deem stupid they’re a “kid”.

Take a look at Hodgson’s tantrum a la St James’ Park when we were 2-1 up. Being silly isn’t reserved for kids, as you’ve pointed out with your own ignorance!

Sign Ben Afra and I would go for a lad called Lacina Traore who is 6″ 8 tall and very fast, he is only 19 years old and playing in Romania for a club in the champions league.
Watch this kid on youtube he is going to be a sensational player and would make Newcastle’s front line a terrifying thought for any team in the world, will cost about £5 million.
