Ben Arfa Signs Permanent Deal At Newcastle

As we had intimated earlier this morning, Ben Arfa was very close to signing a new deal at Newcastle United, and the deal has now just been confirmed by the Newcastle United club.

Hatem Ben Arfa – signs permanently for Newcastle United

This is what the 23 year-old said this morning after signing for the famous Newcastle United club, apparently the only club he wanted to play for:

“I am absolutely delighted to be signing for Newcastle United on a permanent basis,”

“During my short time at the club, I thoroughly enjoyed playing for the team and for the supporters too. This is a great club and I am very happy to be committing my future to them.”

“I am getting back to fitness as quickly as I can, and am really looking forward to getting back to St James’ Park, seeing the lads again and of course working with Alan Pardew and his staff.”

“During my time out, I have been inundated with messages of support from fans and I want to repay them all with good performances on the pitch later this season.”

An ecstatic Alan Pardew added:

“When I came to the club last month, one of my priorities was to secure Hatem on a permanent deal.”

“The last thing I wanted was for us to lose him when his loan ended so we’re really pleased to have agreed that deal today.”

“He’s obviously a top player and he’s shown that in France, at international level and in his short time here at Newcastle.”

“I’m delighted to secure Hatem as my first signing and once he’s back fit, I have no doubt he’ll confirm just what a superb player he is.”

And Newcastle’s  Managing Director Derek Llambias got the job done for the club today, and this is what Derek had to say:

“Bringing Hatem on loan earlier in the season was quite a coup, but to sign him permanently on a long-term deal is even better.”

“Alan Pardew made it clear that he wanted Hatem here beyond his loan spell so we have backed him and made that happen.”

“Hatem is exactly the type of player that we want here; a young international class player with his best years ahead of him. And now those years will be spent at St. James’ Park.”

It’s  a great  first signing for Alan Pardew at Newcastle United, and you have to give Alan credit because very shortly after arriving at the club, he stated his internion to sign the Frenchman on  a permanent basis.

And he’s now  got the powers that be at Newcastle, to do exactly that.

It seems that Hatem has signed a four and a half year deal, that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.

This is just great great news for the Newcastle United club, not to mention the fans.

Comments welcome.

Welcome to the team Arfa ..
Top player, with him in the team maybe we can push on for the FA Cup..

Geordie-Gerrard7 do you believe coozy’s news?
Come on now .. when he said something the twitter guys already knew about it .. I believe this is the same guy that in August spoofed all info… sad really .. we all hope he’s right with a consortium.. as for Carroll everyone in football knows that Spurs want him and are willing to pay .. my feeling is they will sell in the summer .. but only if he wants to go .. and he is a Geordie…

Geordie-Gerrard7 .. not convinced mate .. which I was wrong .. I do remember he said he worked at the hotel which he confirmed when he broke news about Arfas first time at Newcastle ..

Time will tell .. Carroll news was old hat .. the consortium is new stuff, but we’d all love it to be true but can’t see it..

Brilliant. At least Cashley is supporting Pardew. Still not forgiven for Hughton but jury still out on Pardew. Victories over Liverpool and Wigan expected, and defeats to Man City and Spurs, though disappointing not unexpected. A win over West Ham would calm my nerves further.
And also a message out to those fans who don’t support Pardew: it was not his fault what happened to Chris Hughton, and until hes had enough time don’t judge him yet.

Leedodd-completely agree with u mate. Not ashleys biggest fan but he seems like he’s ready to invest if the player is the right age. Look at past history, he will put his hand in pocket if player is young and has talent. Look at tiote. Yeah we’ve had a few duffers but who hasn’t? Anyone remember kleberson an djemba djemba from man u? Every club has them. But getting Ben arfa is great start. 🙂

The one plus point from Hughton getting the sack is that Ashley gave Pardew a 5 year contract, which means he has to be seen to support the manager, which means we should get at least £8-£10m transfer funds for January.

Hughton unfortunately, would’ve only got the money to secure HBA.

I see your point and agree to an extent – especially when you consider we have 2 right footed players coming back in, i.e. Gosling and Ben Arfa, along with Barton and Routledge there’s 4 possible RM and 3 of those prefer to play through the middle.

LM is weaker I think, only Gutierrez and Ben Arfa who can realistically play there (Ferguson is an option though obviously lacking experience).

I think that only Ben Arfa can realistically play there,Jonas is not good enough for Left Wing,Hes needs to cut in to cross which is very annoying and gives the center halves to recover !

Ben Arfa can be our Van der Vaart and rival the Dutchman as the best value signing of the season. Pity his countryman, de Jong, has limited our man’s contribution to the last couple of months.

delighted that benny is signed, he must play in the hole behind carroll spraying passes backed by tiote and barton. jonas is’nt the best crosser but he does’nt get balls played into spaces to run onto which he’s more good at doing. most games he’s man marked out…

Great signing! I have to say that Newcastle has done brilliant the last windows.

BTW. Carroll want leave for a club like Tottenham, he is simply to good. I think we should be more scared if Man United, Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid etc. go for him.
