Newcastle Talking To One Club About Deal Before Saturday

There’s a chance that Alan Pardew will announce his second signing in January before the game at Stevenage on Saturday.

David Bentley – could be good signing for Newcastle – on loan?

Of course since the injuries picked up last night against West Ham, Alan is even more keen to bring in a new player before the FA Cup 3rd round game – but hopefully not Robbie for £7M.

But it’s important for Newcastle to bring in the right players, and we’d like to see some additional class in the squad.

Ben Arfa was a great signing and one player we really fancy is Spurs winger David Bentley.

But the London club seem to be asking ridiculous and unreasonable fees for their players – but a loan deal would suit Newcastle just fine, if they can persuade Tottenham to do a deal.

This is what Alan said today:

“We’ve made a few enquiries, and are talking to one particular club trying to get a deal done before the weekend,” “It think that’ll be quite important now.”

It will be interesting to know who that player is, and whether Newcatsle will continue to go after younger players, or plump more for experience in this particular transfer window.

Comments welcome.

To be put in the same market as David Beckham would be a honour,I dont see how he is a poor man’s Beckham,Kevy. When Bentley does play for the spurs he always does something special,Hes always in the action,He can cross the ball,He can pass the ball and he can open up defenses.

Just read an article that Pards said that he would play his strongest team, so I think he will go with something like this for Saturdays game.

    ———————Harps

    Simpson—-Willo——–Colo—-Enrique

    Routledge–Barton—-Nolan—Ferguson

    ———–Ranger——-Lovenkrands

Subs: Krul, Perch, Kadar, Guthrie, Gosling, Vuckic, Xisco

Taking these injuries in to con:
Raylor, Saylor, Smith, Gutierrez, Tiote, LuaLua, Ben Arfa, Carroll, Best, Ameobi

I wouldn’t have anything to do with any Spurts players because know floppychops, he’ll want some sort of guarantee that we’ll sell him Carroll, maybe not this window but maybe in the summer or someother time.. because he’s a slimy get!!!!

a defo NO for Bentley, he’s got the wrong attitude & it’ll start Barton & Smudger off, causing unrest in the team…. !!!

I hope Jóan Símun Edmundsson starts against Stevenage. He is from the Faroe Islands and I think that just about everybody here would support Newcastle.

Some facts bout the Faroe Islands to all my fellow NUFC supporters :))

Situated roughly half way between Scotland and Iceland in the Northeast Atlantic, the Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 mountainous islands, with a total land area of some 1400 sq. kilometres, a sea area of 274,000 sq. kilometres and a population of approximately 49,000. The language of the Faroe Islands, Faroese, is a west Nordic language, which derives from the language of the Norsemen who settled the islands 1200 years ago.
As a self-governing territory under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Faroe Islands legislate and govern a wide range of areas in accordance with the Home Rule Act of 1948. These include the conservation and management of living marine resources within the 200-mile fisheries zone, sub-surface resources, trade, fiscal, industrial and environmental policies, transport, communications, culture, education and research.
The Faroe Islands have chosen not to be a part of Denmark’s membership of the European Union. The Faroes negotiate their own trade and fisheries agreements with the EU and other countries, in consultation and cooperation with the Danish foreign ministry, and participate either independently or together with Greenland (Denmark in respect of the Faroe Islands and Greenland) in a range of regional fisheries management bodies.
With an economy overwhelmingly dependent on the fishing and aquaculture industries, the Faroes are keenly aware of the need to strengthen Faroese capacity to deal with the challenges of a globalised world. Enhancing economic independence is a key factor in ensuring sustainable development and stimulating economic diversity.
The very basis for economic and social well-being and cultural integrity in all countries and communities of the world, not least in the Faroe Islands, is a healthy and productive natural environment.

There`s Bentley, Kranjcar and Larsson, all decent on the right wing, with Krannjcar the more versitile of the three.
However the kid i have been watching is young Coleman @ Everton, the next Gareth Bale, been banging them in and providing great service to the forwards.
Find it hard to believe, the rumor L`pool are interested in Routledge, if so sell and spend the fee on Coleman, a better prospect and consistent.
    Tiote out ?
Well guess we will see what Gosling is all about, he is a DM is`nt he ?

I would take SWP ahead of Bentley. Fantastic pace, good crosser of the ball (when he puts his mind to it) , and he would give us something that routledge could not, and that is consistency. SWP on the right, Joey in the middle with Tiote, take money for Jonas, Guthrie, Smith and Routledge, put Nolan in behind Andy, Happy days. We get a decent team, Fatty gets some cash from sales, and Floppychops is lumbered with his unsaleable and overpriced assets.

You’ve totally contradicted yourself there. You say when SWP puts his mind to it after you said SWP is consistent. which is it?

SWP is anything but consistent in the times I’ve seen him play. When he puts his head into it then yeah, he’s a smashing player but other times he can be fairly mediocre.

If we need to sign new player, just hoping the player we sign is as good as BEN ARFA and TIOTE, don’t get wrong, what i mean is good in term of TEAM SPIRIT.

I just scare if Bentley came, do you all think he will play as a team like we have today?

IMO, No. Yes he good as footballer but no fit for us.

I hope NUFC will sign someone who really love NUFC, giving 110% comitted in every game.

That why i love all lads at our team rite now,

Do you all see how happy all lads when Best, Nolan and Lovern score last night, do you all see the face of Jose, Happy Jumping Tiote, Smilling Barton in every goal concede. So, if we need a player, i hope that player want to came here to play for NUFC fans, not because we push them, no because of we need they to play for us.

It very big different with those who want to play for us with the one who came here because we need them.

Can’t wait fot HBA, he the one who i feel can’t wait to show to us his skill, his tallent.
